This is from a small town near Austin, Texas. The PU gets caught in the tornado, debris flying everywhere, the truck flips over and when the wind passes by, the PU drives away.
There are other videos of it, I selected the short one. It was taken by a storm chaser (a person who follows storms hoping to get a video of a tornado).

OMG!! The driver must have been absolutely terrified, then the car is set the right way up and they just...... drive away! Wild indeed.
I want to be a storm chaser in the US in my next lifetime. Tornadoes have always fascinated me. We don't have them here. (I'm sure I would change my mind if I had to liv e through them.)

He was very very lucky! Thankfully the truck wasn't lifted into the air and it was tipped back up onto its wheels so he could drive off. There's a story to tell. But why was he driving right through a tornado in the first place?

I’m sorry your home was hit. Did it sustain much damage? And more importantly, were you inside it and did you or a family member get hurt? Also, was the boy hurt at all, if you know?

Sadly, my house was damaged. Part of my roof was torn off, the garage door, the bricks on the back side and many windows were broken. My cars were also damaged. We were home and saw it out the window. We were able to get into the bathroom until it passed. No one was hurt.

That had to be the biggest WTF just happened moment ever! Lord that would be scary. The seat belt made a difference there! A fractured back is scary though. Glad they went back and had it checked out. I want to be a storm chaser in the US in my next lifetime Don't come to my neighborhood please. I hate storm chasers with a vengeance. They tear around hell for leather and will certainly kill someone, someday. I have seen them barreling down country roads with tall corn - and that WILL end up killing someone, because every section has a cross roads and when the corn is tall, they are 100% blind intersections with no stops signs. You have to know to slow roll and look at every single mile intersection. If I see them on a gravel road, I'll park so they can't get past me until they slow down. Everyone I have encountered is a pure asshole. I know there are genuine weather guys out there -but the 'storm chasers'. Nope. Family doesn't have medical insurance because Texas. Not just Texas. I know a lot of families that struggle with insurance. I hope the go fund me helps them and that they can get insurance. That sucks.

Texas specifically because our governor turned down the Medicaid expansion that would have covered lots of people who fall through the cracks - the working poor. Texas has the highest rate and number of uninsured families in any state, and second place isn't close. In the wealthiest country in the world, no one should have to start a Go Fund Me for health care.

The young man got the job and starts Monday at Whataburger (a chain FF that began in Texas). A dealership in Fort Worth has given him a new Chevy Silvarado PU in cherry red. I think it will be delivered to the family on Sunday.
