I was going through a pile of random papers and there was a RB postcard in there. I have no idea where it came from but it had been taped to something at one point so I've probably had it for a while...
I was recently looking at Etsy for 80s nostalgia stickers to scrap, and I almost bought a Rainbow Brite sticker, so finding I already own something I'm glad I held off...
But how should I scrap it? It's 4 by 6 so I'll probably pretend it's a single photo layout.
Go rainbow crazy? Let the postcard speak for it's colorful self and pick one color to highlight?
Why would you scrapbook that when you have 1000s of photos laying around?
I should have done this as a poll...
Any thoughts or ideas? Especially with embellishments...

single photo layout with journalling about what Rainbow Brite means to you/makes you remember etc...
Maybe muted shades of the rainbow colours and a white background?

Oh, I would scrap it with glee, what a treasure!
I would maybe do a white background, with some sprinkles of mist (or water down ink pads you stamp onto a mat/packaging, or stamp small stamps) in a rainbow of colors-but keeping it limited so the postcard is the most colorful thing on the page. If the postcard has white edges, I would add some patterned paper behind to help it stand out from the background.
What a fun find!
I just recently scrapped photos from some mission trips when I was in highschool, which was 20+ years ago. That nostalgic stuff can be so fun!

I don't know what the card looks like, but I'm imagining a page with one big rainbow on it and the postcard situated somewhere along it. Or not.
I would definitely scrap it along with journaling. I worked at Toys R Us (my first job!) when Rainbow Brite and Cabbage Patch dolls were all the rage. I will certainly scrap about both when I find memorabilia. One memory I have is of Lurky falling off a shelf and having one eye break off in an irreparable way. He became Pirate Lurky behind the scenes 😄

Maybe muted shades of the rainbow colours and a white background?Something like this is what I was thinking also. I know there used to be some [random] old-school type patterned paper with a sky blue background and a pale rainbow across the page (think watercolor-style muted colors). And then there's this: Reminisce Rainbow Sky paper

This is what the postcard looks like, minus the red background thing... If that helps. Funny thing is, I had the perfect paper for this layout (from Ella and Viv) sitting in my stash forever but I recently used it on a different layout. #scrapbookingproblems...

Ooh I'd love to have that to scrap. That was my favorite cartoon as a child! I think I'd do a solid paper, postcard as the focus and lots of colored embellishments to make the "rainbow' of colors.

I just gave 40 gallons of Rainbow Brite dolls to a friend.
Don't ask.

What a treasure to find! I missed out on Rainbow Brite, but I think I would have been in love with her if that had been in my sphere of awareness at the time. If I were scrapbooking that card, I'd pull out an old collection by Echo Park that is in my stash called "Sweet Girl" because it has this amazing paper in it: Now you might not have that in your stash, but they do still sell it in a digital paper pack and a digital kit if you are so inclined. Whatever direction you go I hope you share you finial page!

I was thinking something swirly like rune2484 posted. Orrrrrr... I would try to match up papers to make a rainbow behind the postcard to extend the rainbow pattern on the background.

Sorry I'm no help...I had to Google to find out what a rainbow brite is. lol
I think I'd go either all white and let the card pop. Or just go all out rainbows.

I bought a Rainbow Brite children's book from a thrift store just for scrapping that era of my childhood. I pulled it apart, and use pages like pattern paper.
