scrapbookgeneration.com/brands/scrapbook-generation/pianoforte-plus-collection/I am pretty excited about this line that Scrapbook Generation designed-my son is playing saxophone in band, and they have a saxophone paper (they have a ton of instruments actually, including electric and acoustic guitar!) I think the colors will allow my band photos of the musicians in their black and white outfits to really stand out! I preordered today, and will be excited to get it once my bank-it box hits the magic number and ships! 😊 I'm doing my part to make that happen sooner rather than later. (I'm not affiliated with SG in any way, just a supporter of small business!!)

I was excited at first but upon closer look, not so much. I have a Cello player. The paper contains many many treble clefs, the Cello plays in bass clef. As does the tuba and several other instruments they just slapped treble clefs on. Disappointing. And the colors are...interesting.

Interesting. I'd have to see it in person before I can really judge the colors (appreciate the neutrals just not sure I like them). I need more music/band papers, if I can find this line I'd pick up the trombone paper & maybe a few other pieces, but not a whole collection (either size).

My dd plays the viola which uses alto clef... which is just about the only instrument that uses it. I might have to make my own paper line... or carve my own stamps. My other dd plays the violin, and has taught herself piano so I could use a few things, but there's nothing really violin-y about the violin paper pack... She is also super noticey and if I try to put something on a page and it's not "musically correct" like a happy birthday paper I used once, she will make sure I know it's wrong! I would have to run it past her before buying anything. Musicians... The colors are a little blah as well.

Mixing up the clefs though seems an easy one. Lazy on the part of SG.

I would have to run it past her before buying anything. Musicians... DS is the same way. I only buy music paper online now, so he can eyeball it before I get it, as otherwise I am in for a lecture. I do like the colors in this I think; the other music collection that I LOVE (and it is more musical theater than anything) is red, black, tan and off white and while it is a stunning collection, that color scheme does get a little old. I do try and mix in other colors, so you could certainly do that with this collection.

Then I went back to check the papers, and found that only three of the 16 double sided papers have treble clefs on them. The 12 instrument papers do not have treble clefs on either side. So not sure how I slapped treble clefs on them. There are 12 cutout sheets. Several of those have treble clefs on individual cutouts…maybe three on a sheet of 30 items. So I guess I’m not seeing what you see… I appreciate the discussion of the collection I designed. Just wanted to keep the facts straight. 😀

As my daughter plays the cello, which is a bass clef instrument, treble clef is a no go for us. Would love to see bass clef, can't think of ever running across a collection that had it done correctly for cello. So even if it's "just a few places" it's still too many places for me to purchase.

Anyone know of any ”recentish” papers, stamps, or embellishments that have a pedal harp? Pedal harps are the big ones in an orchestra. Not the cutesy Irish harps with clovers & leprechauns.

Just letting you know that Pianoforte Plus is only available through Scrapbook Generation. The preorder ended yesterday, but we should have the collection to sell at our Springfield, MO store and at scrapbookgeneration.com in two-three weeks.

Overall I think it’s a nice collection that fills a missed niche. I like the very neutral colors as my pictures aren’t competing with them. It’s also classic and allow me to add as I want. I can see this being very useful for many.

I really like this collection. My daughter is in the color guard in a collegiate marching band. School colors are brown and gold. I think the gold in this collection will work really well. Kind of excited to get my hands on some of this to scrap last fall’s season.
