I just saw one yesterday! It's from Echo Park's Everyday Eclectic (Alison Kreft) from 2012. There is a speech bubble shaped sticker that says "today you". What is that supposed to mean?! I assume it's a typo or auto-correct but I'm not sure what the correct wording would even be. It's a travel themed collection. I don't know the intent behind it, but it reminded me of this famous Reddit story: www.redditinc.com/blog/celebrating-10-years-of-today-you-tomorrow-me Thank you for sharing; I hadn't seen this before.

From this weeks kit, I have ‘We are our future.’ Anyone know what this means?

Probably less odd, more just something that doesn't translate well overseas... but I still remember the girl-themed collection (maybe by Crate Paper?) that had one of those 'Hello my name is' badge stickers which said 'Hello my name is spunky!'... yeeeeeah, that has a very different kind of meaning over here.

Hahaha! Australia in the 80s...... if a guy was hot, he was a spunk! Every girl in the 80s had "Andrew is a spunk!" (or whatever the name of their latest crush) written on their pencil case.

I was just digging through my blue scraps and came across "put your laundry away or I'll punch you in the face."
I hate folding and putting away laundry but have never resorted to violence.

A couple of years ago, I bought a cut apart sheet that had "make a little birdhouse in your soul" as a choice, but I'm a big They Might Be Giants fan and bought it just for that reason. I imagine that if you weren't familiar with the song, you'd be puzzling over it.

From this weeks kit, I have ‘We are our future.’ Anyone know what this means? I interpret it to mean that we shape our future, for better or worse. I suppose it's intended to be used in a positive sense, such as for graduation photos, achievements, participating in something to benefit the community, voting, etc.

You have always been a part of the heist. You're only mad now because you don't like your cut.

If you watched the original Sex and the City spunk had a verrrrrry different meaning. LMAO.

I try not to use the “best day ever” stickers/die cuts/journaling cards because not everyday is “the best day ever”. It seems disingenuous to me. I hate the amount of product I have with “hi” on it. “Bloom”, “grow” and “bloom where you are planted” I dislike. I put best day ever on any Disney layout because for me, any day at Disney is a best day ever. I hate “bloom”

Every baby collection seems to have "Dream Big Little One". To me it doesn't make sense, a baby is not going to dream about being President or conquering the world. It is played out, it is in too many collections. Why don't they come out with "Stay the f*ck asleep"?
I hate the misspelling of WHOA as WOAH. I not only see it in scrapbooking, but on commercials. Good thing I don't spell it that often. However, I once took an excessive number of photos at a dahlia farm and considered scrapping each and every one of them with a "bloom" or "grow" from my stash--one on every photo. Then I would be rid of them, at least until they show up in my next ephemera pack. every.single.spring.line
I was just digging through my blue scraps and came across "put your laundry away or I'll punch you in the face." I'd probably use it, but I have a weird sense of humor. No, I would not punch my kids in the face.

It may not fit the weird category but certainly not in a good category..."boss babe" Like whhhhyyyyyyyy. Just why. Oh and Happiest girls are the prettiest girls. Like what...so I guess we can only be happy all the time to be pretty hu? I would actually use a boss babe anything in a completely ironic/sarcastic way because my 14 year old daughter says boss babe and slay girlfriend to so so many things, undoubtedly I would use that for a photo where she was pulling a face or had an epic fail moment. For anything else...not so much.

"Bring on the ___________________" unless the blank is filled in with something like "chips & dip"...

Haha, this is fun. I get rubbed the wrong way with spelling/grammar choices, even if they are not technically "wrong." For example, alright instead of all right. Or hipspeak that isn't spelled phonetically: fav instead of fave, vaca instead of vacay.

And thanks to high school French class, in my head I pronounce "vacay" as "vay-say" = WC = toilet

I hate "rad". My nephews are teenagers. I teach teenagers. No one has said "rad" in a very long time. It sounds soooo out of date. Teen words come and go really quickly and scrapbook manufacturers need to check with their kids before they send the scrapbook line to the printer.
I have paper that says "yeet" and I was really excited about that one because it was current. Now it is over, but I love "yeet" so I'm still going to use it. "Epic" has stuck around a while- so I don't cringe when I see it. "Legit" is pretty out but not near as out at "rad".
If you want to know what is big in the world of kids age 12-14? "Sus" and "Drip". Also "imposter".
But RAD has got to go.

We went to a AZ Diamondbacks baseball game this past weekend and my dh was teasing my almost middle schooler about getting some Diamondbacks Swag from the gift shop. My ds said “No one says swag anymore. It’s drip.” We we’re laughing and referring to stuff as Diamondback drip, which sounds like an illness that I don’t want to have or want my dh to have. I don’t know if he’s using it in the right context but that was the first I’ve heard “drip” in that kind of context. ok, hijack over.
