I recently broke out my Heidi Swapp Color Shine sprays and made a bunch of backgrounds for cards. They turned out great, and the papers are dry, but every time I touch them, some of the mica/shimmer comes off on my fingers. I'd like to seal them before using them, so I wondered about using Distress Micro Glaze/Judikins Micro Glaze to seal it. I know I could use a spray sealer or fixative, but I hate having to take stuff outside to spray it (because of the aerosol fumes), so I though this might be easier since I could do it inside. I wondered if anyone has tried this. The description says the glaze works on water based mediums, which this is, but there's no mention of how it would affect mica/shimmer.
I'm going to tag @patter because I searched the board before posting this and she shared her knowledge on an older post about Micro Glaze, so I thought I'd see if she has any ideas. But I'd appreciate feedback from anyone! Thanks!
ETA to add info from my comment: I don't own any Micro Glaze, which is why I'm asking. I'd only be buying it for this purpose, so I figured I'd see if anyone knows before I buy it. It's about $9, so not crazy expensive, but also not super cheap either for something I won't use a lot.

Is there one you can sacrifice for a test? Or could you make a scrap one to test it out? It's worth a try!

I don't own any SH color shine or I would test it out for you. Hopefully someone here owns both and can help I don't use distress micro glaze often but it does come in handy. Come to think of it, I could probably divide mine and make you a little pot and still have more than enough for a lifetime of sealing. LMK if you want to do that, if you find out/think it will work.

I might have some HS Color Shine, and I can test it for you. Let me check. The only thing about microglaze is that you won't be a able to put any medium on top of it if you wanted. You can put medium over top of a matte spray sealer.

I would think that the mica would rub off when you applied the Micro Glaze.

No rush on it, these are just backgrounds I'm having fun with, so if you can't get to it for a while, no worries. Thanks!
