Over the years I’ve taken card classes, put the cards away and then promptly forgot about them. As my creative pursuits move more toward card making Id like to have a better way to store and display my completed cards so I don’t forget about them .. but am drawing a blank. Fellow peas, how do you store your inventory?

I have them in (now) 2 photo boxes. I try to keep them grouped together by happy birthday, thank you, sympathy, thinking of you, congratulations? I just had to add the 2nd box after last weekend's CC&D, as the 1st was full from 3 rounds of the 100 day challenge.

I keep mine in a couple of shoebox type containers. I sort them by season and occasion.

When I am done making a card, it gets placed along with an envelope in a card sleeve. It then goes in a divided storage organizer bin (just like I use to store my stamps and dies} behind its appropriate divider (birthday, thank you, sympathy, encouragement, get well, etc.)

I keep mine in a fridge bin on a shelf in my Kallax. Divided by occasion.

I would love 4 long narrow shoe box type storage boxes that would fit perfectly in my Kallax cube and didn’t cost a fortune.
A girl can dream.

I don't have many cards that are already created - maybe 20? I keep them in a Pioneer Photo Storage Box, stored the "short way" rather than the length of the box. Stored in the back half of the box I use a divider for each friend/family member with their name and birthday listed. Every quarter I like to send each of them a random card - one quarter is a birthday card, the other 3 quarters it's whatever holiday (or not) card I feel like sending. The dividers help me keep track of the card themes I send to each person throughout the year. As I make new cards, I file them into that person's section as appropriate, or I place in the front section to be used for another purpose.

I also store in a couple of card organizer (one for occasions and one for holidays), but I've been doing more card production than anything else lately and have far too many cards for my needs. The last two years I have been pulling my card organizers out in December and then giving as many extra cards away as possible so that I can start fresh the next year.

I often have cards I set aside (mentally) for specific people but I don't have them organized and labeled in an efficient way. Sometimes I end up with several cards that would work for one person and none for everyone else. I have to rely on my memory too much with my current "system" - all the cards randomly placed in a box. As a professional card maker (lol) I feel like I should have a better organization system for my personal stash. If I could integrate this idea with my file of letters/cards I need to reply to and random stuff I want to send to people at some point that would be even better.

I got some of these in their warehouse sale. link I didn't know what I was going to use them for when I ordered, but then realized they would be great for my cards. I have the 6 boxes in a basket and have each one labelled with the occasions that are inside. I just pull out the box I need when I need it. Birthday is in one box. Sympathy/Get Well in another. And so on... Holiday cards get put in a different spot until Christmas.
