Yesterday early afternoon, I started to feel one of "my" gastro attacks coming on. This is not related to the gallbladder that was thankfully removed in November, but to an ongoing issue, but every bit as painful. I must have eaten something at the brunch we attended the day before that triggered this one.
Anyway, I was awake most of the night, up and down to the bathroom, occassionally finding a position in bed that relieved the pain a bit and then dropping off, only to jerk awake 20 minutes later and the cycle beginning again. I remember thinking about how my MIL used to say, when she was in pain, "I don't know where to PUT myself." And it definitely applied to me most of the night.
Eventually, after 3:00AM, I was able to rid myself of whatever was triggering me (no need to provide TMI here), and when I "put myself" into a comfortable position in bed, I fell asleep until after 6:00 when I woke up blessedly pain free. (Touching wood as I type this for fear I will jinx myself, but all seems to be okay.)
But I had the strong impression I had just woken up from a dream... You know that disoriented feeling when you are waking up, not sure if you are part of the dream or not? My bed was a scrapbook page, and I had been carefully laying out my body, my pillows, my blankets, on it. I remember being happy with the arrangement in my dream. And for a minute, upon waking, I was reluctant to move and change it up!
How has scrapbooking played a role in YOUR dreams?

I don't think I've even had scrapbooking in my dreams! That is hilarious tho grammadee, graphic design for comfortable sleep. I know exactly what you mean with "put yourself". When I'm uncomfortable, it's the constant change in position that helps, and that isn't exactly conducive to sleep!

My scrapbook dreams used to come the night before my 4 day crop. I'd dream I forgot my photos or something else important! grammadee At the risk of playing a doctor on a message board, I think you should ask your doctor to do a blood test to look for H-Pylori. It causes stomach ulcers that are usually cured by a round of antibiotics. Your symptoms sound like my DH's when he had it.

I have a recurring gut issue originating from surgery in the 90's. If it doesn't resolve itself I will definitely be seeing the doctor.

Ugh sorry about your gastro issues! I also suffer from various gastro ailments... not a fun time!
I don't think I have dreamed about scrapbooking, but at times when my mind is racing and I suffer from insomnia, I find myself designing pages in my head instead of counting sheep.

What a funny dream. I've had scrapbook dreams before. None as creative as some I've heard about where people come up with design ideas, though. Sorry about the tummy troubles. Hopefully you can figure out what the problem is or what triggers you. Maybe IBS, but I'm no doctor.

I’m sorry that you had such a rotten night. I sympathize. It sounds all too familiar to what I had been going through regularly (except for the dream…..I have weird dreams, but scrapbooking never seems to be included).
Have had symptoms like you describe, and while it took time to make the connection (doctors failed to figure it out), I finally realized that it happened after eating certain foods, or foods that had an ingredient that my body is sensitive to. The worst culprit for me is eggs, which are in so many recipes, especially baked goods. I have learned to avoid eggs, as well as a few other things.
I hope you have a better night tonight.

I'm sorry you had a rough night but it's funny all your moving around translated into dreaming about scrapbooking. I hope you're feeling better now. I don't recall ever dreaming about scrapbooking but pretty much all the dreams I remember are super active and frequently intense. One time, I had a dream where I was being chased by a giant frog and threw a boulder at it...when I woke up my bedside table was knocked over.
