I have a question pertaining to eBay and hope someone can help me out. I went to post a few items to eBay (haven't sold anything there in a long time), and I received a pop-up message that says there have been changes, among which are:
* Payouts sent directly to your bank account * Simpler fees, deducted instantly instead of invoiced * More payment options for your buyers
They have all kinds of ways that the buyer can pay, including by credit card. I cannot accept CC unless it's through PP; but it looks like I don't have a choice. Is that correct? Can someone help me out here? Thanks so much!

Not sure about the US eBay site but in australia the payout just hits my bank account (once eBay fees are deducted) regardless of how the person pays…I don’t even see how they pay (whether it be PayPal/credit card/bank deposit etc)

You can still accept cc payments via paypal. Ebay sends you your payments directly every 2 or so days instead of the money being in your paypal account.
I haven't had any issues as a seller or buyer .
Let me know if you have any other questions.

I'm not really sure how it was before but I had to link my eBay account to my bank account a little while after I joined up. They send me the money at least once a week with any shipping label costs deducted and I don't know how the customer pays. Shipping labels can be paid for out of the pending funds or a linked card/bank account as I recall. I just use the pending payouts since they include money to cover the shipping.

It's not a problem to accept credit cards. eBay is the one who is actually accepting the payments, then they disburse the money to you less fees.
As for the new payout system, I much prefer it. Since I didn't want to connect my main bank account to eBay, I set up a second checking account under my main one at my credit union. There is no charge for it and I can easily transfer the money from there to where ever I want the money to go.
