I'm trying to order a cameo bundle. It says it comes with the software. Do I get software for both mac and windows? I would like it on my mac but would be nice to have it on my laptop as well since I will keep my cameo in the craftroom most of the time and I don't have a computer in there.

I'm pretty sure you can download the free versions of both, for free, from the website -- I'm pretty sure all the bundles come with this free version.
I think if you buy the upgraded (Designer) software, you'll have to pick one OS over the other.

If you get the Designer Edition (DE) - you can use the code 3 times - so yes you could install the PC version on your PC and enter the code, and also install the MAC version and use the code again.
It is likely that the software that comes with your machine is outdated, so you are better off downloading it from Silhouette anyway. You can download the basic versions without having the machine. The free basic version is what comes with the machines, and the DE is an upgrade.
The most current version is V3.3.277
