Now I will waste office time on FB this afternoon watching heads explode. Should be fun! I'm afraid to look at some relatives FB for fear I won't be able to speak to them with civility again. The blatant racism and misogyny has been on FULL display, couched in Christian love of course.

I couldn’t be more pleased. Glad none of the “rebel” Dems crossed over to the other side, glad some of the “rebel” GOP did. She will be a historic AND excellent Justice. Don't worry. There isn’t a reason in the world to doubt she will. Even the guys who voted against her acknowledged she is extremely well-qualified.

Manchin had said earlier that she was very well qualified and there was no reason not to vote for her.

Graham disrespected Ketanji Brown Jackson Here’s how Lindsey Graham disrespected Ketanji Brown Jackson during her confirmation vote Bob Brigham April 07, 2022 Less than one year after Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) voted to confirm Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the DC appeals court, he voted against her confirmation to the United States Supreme Court. But it was how Graham voted against Jackson that is drawing attention. The GOP senator did not even bother going to the Senate floor to vote against her nomination, CNN's John Harward reported, based on work by his colleagues Ali Zaslav and Ted Barrett. "Lindsey Graham didn't wear a tie for the occasion of Ketanji Brown Jackson's confirmation to become the 1st black woman on the Supreme Court," Hardwood reported. "That meant he wasn't allowed on the Senate floor and voted 'no' from the cloakroom.""All the more remarkable for the fact that Graham was wearing a tie at a press conference earlier in the day," he noted. "He took it off." That raised a question for Washington Post columnist Jen Rubin. Could he be any more disrespectful?" she asked. www.rawstory.com/etanji-brown-jackson-lindsey-graham-k/

I'm visiting Washington DC next week. Today I thought about how I would enjoy making a sign saying something mean about Lindsey Graham and Rand Paul and standing outside the capitol building. Today was such a historic day and they acted likes such assholes. the pictures of her with the president were so awesome. I'm so glad Joe is our president.

So exciting, and could the Republicans be any more petty or juvenile? Just when you think they’ve shown us how low they can go, they prove that they can outdo themselves and sink even lower. What a bunch of infantile jerks. ETA: I am so pleased and excited that she will be our newest Justice! I think she’s going to be great in that role.

I'm so happy for her, for us as a nation.
The footage of the pissed off Republicans who stomped out was such a pathetic, juvenile display.
Someone said democrats walked out the same way when the two Trump appointees were announced. I can't find anything about it, does anyone know? I don't recall either way.

I recall several Democrats walking out of the committee vote from Kavanaugh, but don't remember if they also did it for the floor vote.
