I'm having a BIG issue with some Scotch brand ATG tape rolls. The adhesive is stuck to the "wrong" side of the roll and IF I get that adjusted, the adhesive doesn't come off in a nice even strip but a ragged bits and pieces strip. I researched and found a suggestion to get the adhesive on the "right" side: specifically, squeeze the sides of the roll on the dispenser -- didn't work BTW. This started with an older roll that had been in the ATG - and continued with a new roll. I don't still have the packaging to get a lot number or anything. I emailed Scotch brand - but haven't heard anything from them as to a "bad batch".
Is anyone else having issues with your Scotch brand ATG adhesive?

The sticky on the wrong side is not a batch issue, it’s just something that happens. There are YouTube videos on how to fix it. You need to break the adhesive strip and sort of peel it away and then stick it down to the right side of the liner thing. Then it should stay on the right side of the roll. HTH. No I don’t work for Scotch I just had the same problem recently…

Yes - I've seen many videos about a hack to "fix" the issue. I've done the "put the sticky on the correct side" -- it only worked for one strip of adhesive. The point is that this is a WELL KNOWN ISSUE -- and Scotch, obviously, doesn't give a fat rat's ass about it.
The company didn't bother to respond to my email to them. I had a "chat" today with a representative -- she will be sure to "send my comments up the chain".
Everyone who has responded - and I fully admit that I posted my query on every site of crafters to which I belong -- NO ONE has mentioned they have a similar problem with off brand tape. I think the real "fix" is obvious -- don't use Scotch brand adhesive.

I recently threw away six rolls of ATG tape. It's so frustrating to have to stop and fix it every other use.

This won't help, but I have better luck with the knockoff brands from Amazon.

You have always been a part of the heist. You're only mad now because you don't like your cut.

I have no patience to try a hack especially if I’m in the middle of crafting. SSS had a special last month on their adhesive so they’re up next.

I cannot find it locally and Amazon’s prices are ridiculous. I purchased through Tape Jungle and have had no issues so far. I’m on my 3rd roll from them.

Tape Junge is what I have used for many, many years (I think 10) with zero problems, either during application or having anything fall off a page.
