I'm currently on Day #5 of my first and hopefully last, CV journey and feeling quite thankful to get it out of the way before we set off for Galicia and Asturias in northern Spain in about ten days time. I'm planning on prepping a travel journal and will blog as usual, but also wondering about any craft/papercraft stores in that part of the world worth a detour? We're there for the best part of a couple of weeks, will be footloose and fancy-free and I had hoped to be able to add a couple of markers to a google map in advance. So far, no joy....but I know where to find those who know about such things All suggestions will be gratefully received from those who have been there, done that - or, indeed, any pointers to things to look out for. Many thanks!

Sorry no advice. I just wanted to say I hope you have great travels. Surely you will come home with amazing pictures. We are considering Spain for our next vacation and go back and forth between there and Italy. It looks so sunny and warm. Have you been there before and have you done much planning? Or do you fly by the seat of your pants?

Elsabelle we're travelling independently around a corner of Spain previously unknown to us, though have travelled in other parts of the country previously and enjoyed it. DH is a planner though...nothing is left to chance! We usually do a US Road Trip each year but CV put paid to that with just one state remaining and for this year at least, we'll stay in Europe. But I am determined to complete my 50 states sooner rather than later, believe me! Anyway, I realise that in most countries of the world, I am familiar enough with the crafty scene to be able to find the kind of store that I enjoy browsing in, but in Spain? Nada! Hence my question! Is there a Spanish equivalent of Hobbycraft? Of JoAnns? Of Spotlight or Idee? I'm hoping so!

There are plenty of indie scrap/crafting stores in Spain. It's one of the scrap hubs in Europe, actually. Not sure how the pandemic has affected physical shop ownership, however. It could be that some of the ones listed below are now operating differently. Barcelona and Madrid have by far the biggest number of physical scrap stores if you're ever travelling elsewhere in beautiful Spain. Here are a few: Manualidades Arte in Pontevedra MasScrap in Lalín Detalles Orballo in Poio Crafty Lu in A Coruña Dream Scrap in Gijón

sleepingbooty you are a star! Thank you. For some reason I just could not find the correct term to google effectively and yet I thought there might be treasure spots. Your skills and expertise are hugely appreciated and not only is my google map enhanced with that info, my dh is glad to have a few places where he can feel confident of a snooze whilst I browse Cheers x
