I've finally admitted to myself that I am not likely to be scrapbooking again. I have a ton of supplies; paper, embellishments, punches, stamps, etc., that are in pristine condition that I'm ready to part with.
My daughter said she would see if my granddaughter's Girl Scout troop could use it, but it's been a few months and several reminders and she hasn't asked.
I really want these supplies to go to someone who can use them. Any ideas on where I could check? I really want the space more than the supplies.

Ooh following because I’ve come to the same decision and I have no idea what to do with this stuff.
I’ve thought about asking the art teacher at the elementary school if she could use any of it, but I just don’t think they’ll have use for a bunch of chipboard and embellishments?!?

A couple of suggestions I got elsewhere were for preschools and elementary schools, but I really don't see anyone under 12 being able to or interested in using it. It kills me how much I spent on this stuff and so much hasn't been used. I had more inspiration than time.

Did you try posting on the scrapbook board? Perhaps some peas would be happy to take some of it.

I fortunately found a teacher at a middle school in town who has after school scrapbook club, 1-2 (separate groups) days a week depending on how many sign up per semester.

Years ago I did a purge with the help of a professional organizer. She got me in touch with a cancer support group that was working with women who had advanced cancer to make memory books for their children. As a cancer survivor myself I loved that idea, and in the end I went back and pulled out more once I found out where it was going. So maybe you could call around to hospitals or cancer centers to see if there's something like that in your area.

Places I have donated:
Local children's hospital - they have a program for NICU mom's to make scrapbooks of their babies NICU time
Local senior's centre - they have drop in classes where they make cards
A reuse centre - drop off items and take items you can use
A scrapbooking crop where they have a share table

blemon posted recently about a teacher looking for supplies, you'd just have to ship to her: Scrapbook Board.

I had asked so many places and finally was able to donate some to a public library. Unfortunately some things as much as it hurt me I just had to throw in the trash.

If you just need to get rid of stuff, Goodwill or other thrift stores will take it.

I donated a bunch of stuff to a girls organization called Girls, Inc. Maybe there is one in your area, or a YWCA?

Nursing Homes, Libraries and Group homes tend to use those things for projects for their clients. Or post it in a Marketplace type group - I'm sure you will get some takers! I would jump on it if I saw a post near me!

Or maybe even a home school group or children's hospital (our NIC U makes some scrapbooks for the little ones for the families to take home).

I once read about someone donating to a hospice volunteer group that would make memory albums for the family.
I also know several nursing homes /assisted living facilities have volunteers come in and help residents make books .

We have a local Senior Center that has their own crafting thrift store. I've given some to them and others on Freecycle, Nextdoor and Facebook Buy Nothing groups.

When I taught art, I was always open to donations! Make and Mend is an online 2ndhand craft store that takes donations, as well.

If you just need to get rid of stuff, Goodwill or other thrift stores will take it. I've taken a lot of scrapbook stuff to Goodwill. I just don't know anyone who wants them, and I no longer have any connections to the local schools. I have taken scrapbook paper, mainly cardstock, to a local boys and girls club. But the embellishments, I take them to Goodwill.

The local Boys and Girls Club? Maybe an after school program?

When I did my big purge of scrapbook supplies years ago, I sent all the stickers, buttons, ribbons, and all the embellishment/ephemera stuff to a friend who runs a preschool. I had answered her call for donated wine corks previously so I had an idea she might be interested in this stuff and she was.
I donated everything else to our local hospice thrift store (the same hospice organization that’s now providing services to my mother in my home). The two ladies who sort the craft stuff were delighted! They sold the heck out of it. I even donated my Cricut and all its supplies. I was relieved to have it all gone (it took too much space and had been inducing too much guilt). I’m thrilled that they could profit from it to support such a worthy cause.

Try calling nursing homes. One of them here used to do crafts and cards with the residents. Perhaps a Children’s hospital or a large home many families live in while their childrenvhave treatment.

My BFF sold a ton of her stuff on Marketplace and it flew out the door. If it’s in perfect shape people will probably buy it if the price is right.
If you just want it gone nursing homes, early childhood centers, public school art classes or clubs or even thrift stores like Salvation Army will take it.

This art teacher loves donated scrapbook supplies. I purged my stash once 10 years ago and brought a ton of it to school. The kids love making collages with my stuff. My only problem is that I will find a kid using a paper I really love and I'm like "damn, why did I donate that piece?" So now I tend to reclaim some of those papers and put them back in my stash at home. So much for purging. I love when parents and other teachers donate their craft supplies. We use them up. I also purged once and put stuff in a family garage sale. I priced it really cheap and it sold like crazy. This was 4 years ago, I think. Though if I knew the people who bought it, I'd go knocking on their doors and ask for my stuff back. I'm terribly at purging.

I donate to a friend who runs an art studio for teens. It is in a more disadvantage area of our town and she is always needing supplies and recycle items (material, paper towel tubes, wire hangers from the dry cleaners, etc). She loves acrylic paints, glue, and scrapbook supplies. The thing that I donated that gets the most use is a wire binding machine. I am constantly purchasing the binding wires.

The grade school teachers here loved getting scrapbook supplies.
I’ve also never had any trouble giving crafting things away on Freecycle (ours is now deceased) and NextDoor, and now that I’ve joined the local Buy Nothing group, I’m guessing it will be the same.
I recently gave two Cricuts and lots of cartridges to a friend. She is a kindergarten teacher and was thrilled to get them. She’ll either keep one machine at home and one at school, or share one with a fellow teacher. They were both barely used but out of date, and I don’t think I could have sold them for much of anything.

I gave the plain cardstock and circle punches from my MIL's stash to my sister's elementary school. They loved it.
The card making kits, ribbon, brads, etc. I donated to Goodwill.

We are starting clubs next year and I decided to lead the Greeting Card Club. I'm trying to use up some items that I have and make use of the tools. Any school with clubs may love donations.
