Did you try posting on the scrapbook board? Perhaps some peas would be happy to take some of it. That's what I would do. Ask them to pay for the postage for you to mail it to them. That seems fair for someone to get a lot of free materials and supplies.

I'd see if there was a local FB page or Buy Nothing FB group where you could post it for free. I have met someone who is a single mom who loves scrapbook supplies and every so often I message her that I have more purged. I also gave her a bunch of stuff from people who got rid of their entire stash. I went through it and tossed trash and took a few things and passed 90% on to her and she was so grateful.

I'm part of a Junk Journaling (my new obsession...lol) group on FB and have sent some things to people just starting out. They have been very appreciative and I know things are going to good use.

I donated some to my favorite, talented and creative elementary school art teacher. She and the kids used them in ways I wouldnt have imagined. Used rubber stamps to emboss on clay for instance...

When I decided I was no longer scrapping I divided my stuff and gave the majority to a friend that worked in a nursing home. I gave to my daughter so the grandkids could have some fun. Also donated to a mom that does after school care for several children. And the a major portion went to a friend who was just starting to scrap. She was so grateful.

Church crafting groups. I know our group we have widows that cannot afford supplies and love when people share/bring donations.

I quit scrapping for good in 2008. I ended up donating everything that was age and subject appropriate to our local Ronald McDonald house. They were happy to have it.

Do some searching in your area. There are a few places beginning to pop up that take craft supplies and re-sell them. I know there is one in NYC. The coolest one is in Nashville and its called SMART Arts & Crafts. All the supplies are donated and all the employees have differing abilities that make it hard for them to get jobs elsewhere.
You may not find one in your area, but you never know!

Our middle school actually welcomed a lot of it. And check with foster care agencies - there are some around here who make scrapbooks for their kids, and so the supplies are much appreciated.

The kids in our after school program just about lose their minds when I bring in scrapbooking stuff. They LOVE it.
I donate things I won't use to a local kids grief center or our humane society thrift store as well.
I figure I got what I could out of it and it makes me happy to know some kids will use it or some crafters will be delighted with a bargain and the money goes to a charity I wholeheartedly support.
I know it is hard, but try not to get too hung up on what you spent on it. It isn't doing any good sitting around your house making you feel guilty. Think of the happiness it will bring to others and get it out of your house.

One sheet of patterned paper can turn into 12 bookmarks. If you have a lot of patterned paper, I am sure that your local elementary school librarian would love it!
