I hope that both of you can carve out some peace. I am going thru hard times with my daughter. Praying all young people can find effective treatments soon.

HUGS to you, momma!!! I can completely relate. DD34 has shown signs of a mental issue since she was a toddler (really infant!). She was diagnosed at age 14 with bipolar. Made sense, finally! She's been on a combination of 3 Rx's since then and she used to go to her therapist. Since she moved in down here (FL), her mental health took a beating again. It's been like a LONG battle back into the darkness (no friends, no family, she works for a period of time and then hits a wall).
The only thing I was able to do was to find her State-run behavioral health, but it's SO sub-par that it's basically nothing. She sees an ARNP every 3 mos just to refill her Rx's. She has no therapy, nothing. They offered for her to see their psychiatrist, but honestly she's more of a mess than her patients!!!!!! DD got nothing out of meeting with her and she tried a few times.
The people at this clinic are REALLY badly off. We're both scared to even have to go there. I WISH that she had insurance and that it would cover a real therapist. She deserves that!!! She just got insurance in December thru the ACA, but couldn't even get to see her PCP until next month!! She's paying $11/mo for nothing--no doctors, no therapists, etc., until she gets to meet her PCP!
I'm so sorry for what you're going through. SO many people can' relate, or they think that it's just laziness or being stubborn. That's not it at ALL. You're a great mom to make sure that she's all set with online therapy. I hope that she improves. Many of us are here for you and know all too well how you're feeling. Hugs!! xo

Please just keep wrapping her in your love and encouragement. My own mental health concerns began in my mid-20s, and I understand that's a very common time frame. It's so hard.
Do you think you could encourage her to start keeping a gratitude journal and listing at least one positive thing per day? It could be as simple as "blue is my favorite color and I like the blue top I'm wearing today." I'm seriously considering taking my own advice as I experience some very rough times with my anxiety right now.
Regardless, I'll be praying for peace of mind and an uplifted spirit for your daughter and your family. You are not alone and we're always here to listen. 🥰

I’m so sorry. I have been down this path with my DD38. Never thought she’d make it this far.
it does get better.

My daughter also struggles, and it is the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through. We just have so much love for our kids and hope for their futures. Hugs to you….
