health. She is 22. I had to take her to the psych emergency six weeks ago. She was doing well with the meds and partial hospitalization program but then they changed her meds and things got worse again. So I had to take her back in last night. They calmed her down and changed the dosage of one med and hopefully that will help. She sees her therapist today and starts a group program for young adults on Zoom.
I had a longer detailed post but the internet gods decided to eat it and I'm exhausted so sorry for lack of details. Any good thoughts/vibes/prayers are appreciated.

I’m so sorry. That’s a worrisome, stressful place to be. She’s lucky to have you help her get the support she needs. I hope she’s in a much better place soon. It’s so hard to see your kids hurting.

My 23 yo daughter was diagnosed BPD II in the fall of 2020 so I know these challenges. I have no wisdom to share but didn't want to read and run (((hugs)))

I'm sorry. It's so hard for her and everyone who loves her. I really hope she'll get the proper help and meds now. Sometimes it takes multiple tries, which is hard and frustrating. Hugs to you, this must be so worrying.

I will definitely keep her in my prayers. Antidepressant medication can really be a good thing or a nightmare. I take it for the panic attacks that my fibromyalgia give me. In all the years that I've taken it, I only had two types that were horrible. One made me experience a weird buzzing in my head, like I had bees in there. The other gave me a horrible severe depression. I had no idea prior to this that an antidepressant could actually cause depression. Just keep an eye on her for that. Mine came on so slowly and occured right at the start of the pandemic so I had no idea that the medication was causing it.
If she was doing well on her meds, why did they need to change it? I discovered that once you find a good one that works for you, you should stay on it if at all possible.

Sending lots of prayers and positive thoughts to your DD and to you.. I’ve walked in your shoes, and actually am still walking that path. It is so, so difficult. If she is willingly going to therapy and attending treatment programs, you have a huge plus in her favor. Sending you both a hug.

I understand. It's scary when trying to help our adult kids with this. My 25 yo DD struggles somewhat with it. I hope the new meds can help her as well as the peer class and her therapist.
