I can understand why you might see it that way, but it’s not how it comes across to me.
Would I buy it? Nope. I don’t like the phrase, even without having to wonder if someone else would see it the way you do.

That's a big stretch for me. I'm not seeing it. I liken it to when people say, "slay, girl".

I didn't see it, not even when I was trying to, but I get that once you see something wrong you can't unsee it. I did come across this though... beautiful card, really really lovely work. I can't stress how much I love it except... a UTI is terrible thing to have... http://instagr.am/p/CdgJOxSOwH9

I saw the same thing you see OP. When I first opened up the thread the image is the only thing I saw, so I wasn’t swayed by the comments or your text at all. Now that I know what it actually says though I can only see that, thank goodness. When I first opened up the thread I gasped out loud though.

Do you see what I see? I tore this out of SCT mag (liked the tone on tone balloons) and had it sitting on my desk at the angle shown in the photo as I looked through the rest of the mag to decide if there were any other ideas I wanted to save. I glanced up and it gave me a serious pause: I swore it said 'best LAY ever." and this thread immediately came to mind.

OMG! Yes that is what I saw too and I honestly didn't get it. It took me a minute to realize it was day not lay!

You have always been a part of the heist. You're only mad now because you don't like your cut.

While I don't see your interpretations in either the "slay every day" or "best day ever" cards, I do find the loopy script of "best day ever" difficult to read (& the phrase trite) & strongly dislike (especially misspelled) stacked words that result in UTI & other undesireable letter combinations...

I cannot imagine (as strictly a card maker) finding a use more than a couple of time for "best day ever" as card sentiment (let alone best LAY ever ). And totally with you on the stacked words. There was a newer release with something like 'you are so awesome' or something like that in a 70's font. I had to take more than a beat to work out what the heck it was trying to say!

I agree the use of best day ever probably wouldn’t be used a lot. However, I have a best day ever die that is **sort** of the same scripty font as the one you posted but much more readable. I’ve cut it apart to use the words separately to build other sentiments. So if you like the font of a die and it can easily be cut apart to use the words separately, take that into consideration in your decision to buy. I’m all about getting multiple uses from my stash.😁

And here we learn the importance of font choice and kerning...
Can't say I like 'slay every day' as a phrase to begin with, and it's even more confusing on that busy background.

Actually some people might have more use for a ‘best lay ever’ greeting card than a ‘best day ever’ one! Lol. A different kind of thank you card…

Well, I thought of this thread again. I pulled out this (newish to me) stamp set to use again, and at first glance I thought this one said: SENDING THUGS AND....I can't believe I'm admiting it publically, but it actually gave me pause. As in: "oh, is this a new phrase by the kids that I don't know about?" Ha ha! Anyhow, it's the shadow to the left, behind the h in hugs that made me think that first letter was a capitol T. Do you see it? Please tell me you do

I could see how you would see that. Yep, I saw "lay" not day, and UTI just jumped out at me!
I did however, find and buy that cute snowman marshmallow set from seeing this thread!
