It’s been a LONG winter and he couldn’t go on walks. Inside cat but loves to chase bugs outside so we have a harness and leash. ![](https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/20/93/8Etbsobw_t.jpeg)

Beautiful kitty! We used to walk our cats on leashes and dog harnesses as well. We did it late at night and got the strangest looks!

Oh, that face and those adorable tomcat jowls! Late neuter or how Scottish fold boys tend to be? {Now I have to go find Theo Cat to hug.)

What a handsome boy. And his fur looks incredibly soft.

My daughters kitties are indoor cats. But she they do love to go outside in their “to go boxes” (carriers). She keeps their carriers by the patio door and when they want to go outside they get in their carrier. She puts them facing out so they can look at the yard. When they are ready to come inside they turn around in their carrier and face the house.

Oh my gosh! He's BEAUTIFUL. Our kitties loved being able to go our on our screened-in lanai. We have cat perches out there and they'd come in and out as they wanted. Once we got notice that the alligators in our complex have been walking around outside of their water sources, we kept the cats inside. They certainly enjoy being outdoors (safely).
BTW, our youngest plays games on "his" iPad where he catches bugs, mice, etc. Keeps him busy, but he often gets out of the game and gets on Facetime and has talked to my sisters! Gotta watch him while he's on any device! LOL. But those cat games or watching the cat videos (of squirrels and birds, etc) on YouTube might be something your adorable kitty might enjoy when he can't go outside.

So cute!
Our current cat taught himself how to be on a harness / leash (with positive reinforcement from the humans.) All the other cats fell over and played dead. This one figured out it means he gets to go outside and roll around, and play in the grass. He gets so excited when we pick it up.

The semi-feral cat we tamed who became an indoor cat used to love the app Paint for Cats. I kept some of his art and keep meaning to frame one in his memory. Years ago before flat screen tvs, we had a VHS cartridge of gerbils and mice in a pet store. We put a stool in front of the tv since it was pretty high up on a shelf, and our cat Katya used to watch from the stool, and jump up on the shelf to look for the gerbil behind the tv when it ran off the screen.

Ooh, how did you keep the art on the app? (One reason why I kept DH's phone & I'm still trying to see what I could keep from there.... He used to do the paint app.) Too cute!!
Adorable that your cat used to look for the gerbils and mice behind the TV screen. Smart kitty!!! When this kitty sees any screen (even a cellphone), he meows as if to ask for a game app to be put on. He's played solitaire and the bubble game on my phone. Damn, he's better than I am!! LOL

LOL! I had to go try to hit the mouse on the Paint for Cats app to remember how to save. On the iPad if I tap the bottom right corner, a message pops up that said if you want to pause, press the paw (that shows up in the bottom right corner) and shake the device. After doing that a screen pops comes up that says you’re on “paws,” what do you want to do, and gives the choices of start a new painting, save and share, or continue painting. When selecting save, standard choices are offered, like email it, save image, copy, etc. I hope it works for you!

Puffin plays games on his iPad too! His favorite is Mouse For Cats. He asks for it by pushing his “talking buttons”. I taught him to communicate using buttons. He has 25 now. It’s fascinating.

That’s wonderful! Have you done any clicker training? I started clicker training with Theo and he loves it. He learned “gimme paw” (high five) very quickly, “stand up to be counted” and few other easy tricks. We were virtually working with a cat behaviorist when doing introductions between him and our new adoptee, Willow. Theo was not amused. Marci (behaviorist) suggested trying clicker training as a way to positively intervene or prevent unwanted behavior. I could say Theo’s name (which he always had responded to anyway), and he’d get a treat (and a click) if he looked at me instead of Willow. Later when the cats could briefly be together, I’d sit at the dining room table and we’d let him out of the master bedroom and instead of targeting and being upset by Willow, he’d run to me and we’d work on tricks. I bet Puffin would be a clicker pro. BTW, the PhD behaviorist we worked with has four cats, and only one took to clicker training. She gave us an article, recommended a book, but best of all directed us to The Cat School: youtu.be/98R_k-o7fGsAnd The Cat School’s tests to find out if a cat is likely to take to clicker training. youtu.be/LcPmuXLol7A

He actually asks for tricks and loves doing them. I started a Tiktok to meet other cat owners who trick train and teach button use. It’s been a lot of fun. 😋

He's beautiful! I've thought of trying a leash out on my inside kitty but not sure he'd go for it.
