I have mine in storage baskets, but I need a better way.
TIP: I keep the strips and bits in the front cover of the pad, so the papers are kept together, and store them upside down so they don't fall out.

Mine were stored in Ziploc bags until I tore all the pages out and sorted everything by color...now they are in a shoebox sized bin with tabs for each color and a separate section for stripes sitting on my desktop.
I'm not sure if I like this system yet or not...

CD/DVD mini crate for 6x6 pads. I don't know about 8x8.

I only have 6x6 pads. I store them in a little plastic crate from Dollar Tree. I don't like it because they catch on the holes as I'm sliding them in. Am looking for a better option.

The 6x6 Pads are in this tote from PBK and the 8x8s are on a shelf (adjustable shelves overhead)

The cubes from mikes the one with the drawers. 6*6 fit perfectly in there.

Mine are now stored in a CTMH large container - perfect size for the 6x6 - with the overflow in a basket (so I can flip through them). This is how I stored them before the CTMH container - but I had 4x baskets to flip through...
And my scraps from the 6x6 pads - I make an envelope with my board, and glue this on the back of the pad to store them in.

Both my 6x6 and 8x8 are standing up in the pretty shoe boxes from Michaels. I put the lid at the bottom of the box and stand them up by manufacturer....this way I can see the line and avoid duplicates.......

I have mine currently in the $1 plastic boxes with the holes and have the same problem as above - the pads catch on the holes. I had thought about the open boxes like Marybeth mentioned.

I'm not sure if I like this system yet or not... I'm just twitchy at the thought of ripping all my pads apart! I make cards with mine and love that it all coordinates. I store mine on a bookshelf with the spine facing out. I have washi tape on the spines and they are sorted by season/color. The shelf is only about 9" tall because I have my Cropper Hopper paper storage above, which is about a 14" high shelf.

I store mine in a basket as well.
For the scraps, I do the envelope thing too. I cut off the flap part of a 6x6 envelope to make a pocket, adhered it to the chipboard cover and slide my scraps in there. They are stored upside down to the pieces don't fall out.

I just have my 8x8 and 6x6 paper sitting (upright) in a smallish plastic bin. I had them separated by manufacturer in the individual pads, but would never use any of it... so I finally ripped all the pages out of the covers and got rid of any that I KNEW I wouldn't use, in hopes that will help me to actually use it. Any scraps or cut-offs go into my regular scrap tray with the full-size paper scraps.
(the smallish bin helps me to keep my buying in check-- I've decided I can't have any more of that sized paper than will fit in the one bin, so if I buy a new pad, some of it has to come out to make room... now if I could only keep myself to a rule like that for 12x12 paper, lol!)

I have my 6x6 pads in a fabric-lined basket - it's wide enough for two rows of pads side by side. It's getting full, which means that I should probably stop buying the pads until I use some up, but I'll probably just look for another matching (or coordinating) basket instead!

It was working for me but my hoarding of 6x6 and 8x8 paper pads is totally out of hand and although I really like this system, my problem now is where the heck to put those shoe boxes!

Over 80 6x6 pads the last time I counted, and I still have a little room on the side. My plan is to only use this basket. lol

I store mine in bins from the dollar store, big lots, and old time pottery. I use the same for the 8x8 but don't have as many of them .I need to stop buying the 6x6 until I start using them but just can't seem to pass them up!

I think I got mine at Michaels - it was an 8x8 cropper hopper vertical storage ( like this). It came with the case and about 6 frosted type paper holders. I use the case part to hold my 8x8 cardstock and the paper holders to hold the patterned papers together, or by theme.
