Another inspiring find today, albeit not in our gallery! I was cruising the card making board, and clicked into joblackford's instagram feed, and BOOM WOW ZIP ZAP HOWDY! her first post was these 3 gorgeous cards! https://www.instagram.com/p/CeRSlFcpxSh Can we discuss the beautiful soft, almost pastel rainbow? The layered flowers and leaves? The tone-on-tone flowers on the hearts background? The design that accentuates the cool trendy slimline? Absolute LOVELINESS! This is so inspiring for a layout OR card. I'd encourage peas to draw some ideas from the design, colours, elements, and put them into your own creation. My own ideas for creating are: 1. create a slimline card. Challenge enough 2. use fussy cut flowers, or die cut/ephemera flowers, or stamped/die cut flowers, and create deeply layered clusters 3. Create a long LINE of embellishments instead of a "cluster" - you could use flowers or tags or simple shapes like circles - maybe a line the whole length of your layout, or along the edge of a photo mat. 4. Colour challenge: purple, blue/teal, yellow, pink/red - in pastels or brights 5. use tone on tone embellishing on a background of 2 or more colours If you belong to the challenge teams and take on only TWO of those ideas, you can claim 10 points.

{{blush}} thank you! ☺️ This was one of those situations where I loved the background paper SO MUCH I was loathe to cut into it and waste even an inch and I had to keep that rainbow intact, and then try to do something worthy of the gorgeousness of the paper… using that much ephemera on one card felt a bit crazy but it was so satisfying to see it come together. Influenced by the rainbow-ness of @ momruncraft on IG and probably something Shimelle made and some of you who use color and ephemera with enthusiasm. If this inspires anyone to use their favorites instead of saving them for just the right project I’ll be happy

STUNNING!!! It makes me so happy to look at that gorgeous rainbow of flowers. ❤️ I have a number of digital papers that I can "cut" to replicate this.

This is what I made with joblackford's beautiful inspiration. I used Worn Lipstick and Squeezed Lemonade inks on the background and then used a stencil to add white Picket Fence ink over the pink and yellow. Lots of die cut flowers layered together. Slimline card. I think that qualifies for the 10 pts. Happy Birthday

That’s beautiful nylene ! I love the flowers, just lovely. And stenciling in white over the background is a great idea. I need to get some white ink.
