June? How is it June?
I hope to get back to unpacking my scrapbook area this month. I moved 3 weeks ago and have driven up north to my parent's house for the day 3 times, flew to Montana for granddaughter's graduation, and will fly back this weekend for her party. How can I get settled if I am never home?
Anyone have fun scrappy plans for June?

I made bus driver, teacher, and teacher's aides cards last night. I get a weird sense of joy when I mix the old and the new. No other scrappy plans for June. I may start scrapping my daughter and husband's Disney World trip. I FINALLY got photos transferred from my husband's phone to my laptop last night.

Still working on my 2/technically 3 scrapbooks. My husband is also sick of buying cards every time he needs one for a coworker, be it birthday, congrats, what have you, so I've also been making a few cards on my Cricut every weekend to build up our stash.
I was also looking at buying some dies on Sizzix's website since they're having a sale and my gift to a friend for her wedding is a wedding scrapbook, but $11 shipping for 2 dies seems absolutely ridiculous. Is shipping always that crazy for them? I feel like I've paid less in shipping for a whole lot more from other sites.

Scrapping is always on my mind and rarely do I have a chance anymore. I really need to find a way to make scrapbooking more of a priority.
It's kind of depressing me. I am doing little things like getting my photos edited and printed, and pulling product here and there for layouts.
I just need to find time weekly to make my beloved hobby happen for me.

I'm finding it a bit depressing right now too. Summer is a hard time for me. That's why I don't have any set plans. Some days I feel like the only head space I have is organizing scrapbook supplies.

Our cottonwood trees are just now disseminating their seed pods, it's like living in a snow-globe.

don I am sure I am in the minority, but I love cottonwood trees. We had a neighborhood full of them as children. You do learn to roll up your car windows, though!

Put it in your ‘schedule’ lol That worked for me Next I’m putting 3 hours a week in my schedule to educate myself and manage my finances. I haven’t done anything at all since my divorce other than buying the house

I need to finish putting away the last stuff in my new scraproom. Last week the landscaping crew (not "mine", townhouse) was building a boulder retaining wall. They were so loud with a backhoe, compactor, etc I could not work down there. The good news is they finished it while I was out of town.

I have my fingers crossed that I'll have some time on Saturday to scrapbook. I've been on a roll lately with my 12x12 layouts but my PL has been sitting neglected. I really want to get going and finish last year's PL so that I can move ahead and start this year.

I'm so excited! I can scrap again! For months now, I've been trying to organize my older photos, from multiple sources, and I finally have all of the year 2000 in one spot. 2001 through 2007 are still a mess, and 1998 is missing entirely, but for now it's toddler time

and 1998 is missing entirely I had external hard drive failure and 2014 is missing entirely for me as well, so I feel you. Photos were downloaded onto my computer, then transferred over to external HD. Was supposed to be just a backup but somehow a setting was on that deleted photos from the computer when transferring, and then external HD crashed. Brought it to KrollOnTrack and got a quote, 2000k. To maybe get them back. So I feel your pain!

All the photos were all pre-digital, so nothing's been lost to the void. I feel terrible about your loss though! OMG that's a lot of money!!! And only for a maybe. I can only hope 2014 was an uneventful year for your family. That makes me so sad.

Anyone have fun scrappy plans for June? I'm in the middle of a very busy month but I should have some free time during the last week of June. I'm hoping to have a couple of days to scrap. I'm so looking forward to it.

I did it! I got everything off the floor of my scrap area. I spent about 1/2 hour last night scrapping with a new Felicity Jane kit. I plan to get back to it today.

Well, no scrapping, but big event photo taking.
My kid's prom, then hs graduation.
I want to order paper & embellishments for both events, plus senior year, as I don't have anything, and it was all very special (and already finished! How is that possible?!)

Congrats on your ds's grad, LavenderLayoutLady! You will have lots of photos to scrap from that. My paper crafting has been sporadic this month. Arrived home on the 3rd from a stint of grandparenting. Hit the garden running (more like limping and whining, but...), had a day at a LSS where I put together a few pages from my time away. I had planned to get right back into the garden, but the rain made that a no-go. My mind was not on scrapbooking, so I put together some cards. Not sure what I will be doing today. Need to take a walk down to the garden to see if it is feasible to walk on it or weed. I ordered the supplies for an on line class from Karen Burniston. The class is live on this next Wednesday, but the supplies have yet to arrive. Fortunately it will remain available on you tube, because there is alot of homework to do before even starting the class. If it doesn't drive me crazy--her cards are really fun but often pretty finkicky to build--I want to create at least four of the five anniversary cards I need for July/August. Will the fact that these cards have GNOMES that I can dress up differently for each couple keep me motivated? Time will tell.

I have my craft area mostly set up, so I played in there yesterday afternoon. I have my desk set up under the window, which I love.
I am working on purging as I go. Yesterday I through out some Felicity Jane alphas that had no vowels left, as well as some really old vellum quotes that were half used up. I think I am going to dump out my little boxes of embellishments by color and start over. I rarely reach for those any more and I am sure it's because the stuff is old and not useful to me.

I did dump out each of my embellishment boxes that are sorted by color. There was so much in there I will never use. It was mostly leftovers from various kits and collections. I really think I'll reach for the boxes more often now that it's all stuff I really like.

I managed to assemble my 5x5 Kallax all by myself! It was easy, right up until the last side. Even that wasn't too awful. Now I need to wait for my friends to come over tonight so they can help me lift it up into place. There is no way I can get it vertical alone!
Now I can unbox my scrapbooks. That is the last big thing to do at my new place.

I was on a boat tour of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore (Lake Superior in Michigan's upper peninsula). Boat captain pointed out the Neenah paper mill, said they made specialty papers.
DH said he'd never heard of them. He's obviously not the scrapper in the family!

I spent most of yesterday cutting pieces for the Karen Burniston class. Have the gnome pieces cut, but need to cut the trim elements for the card itself. The design has a really pretty scalloped flap with a twine & brad closure system. Once I get the hang of that, I may cut it in a variety of colours for slimline cards. Her class has a combination of two of these gnome mini ball pop ups in a slim line card like this

I'm off to an all day crop today and am going to work exclusively on dgd2 first month. I am going alone so hopefully I can keep my nose to the grindstone!

My plans with DD fell through today, she thinks she has strep, so I am going to finish unboxing my scrapbooks, then play in my craftroom today. It's a rare day I don't have to leave the house!

mikklynn, I "liked" your having a crafty day to yourself, but not your plans falling through with your dd. I had a busy day with family today. We put the cages on the tomato plants and the netting hoops over the cabbages. Went for a long walk around the farm with dgs, found some rhubarb and taught him about some of the local flowers. Did some general yard clean up and wound up with a wiener roast and s'mores. Remembered to take a few photos, so not a complete scrappy bust LOL.

I've completely torn apart and re-assembled my scraproom this weekend. DH built me a 3x3 kallax and a scrapbook desk from 2 Alex drawers and a lagkaptan table top. I'll need to catch up on housework tomorrow and then hopefully scrap on Tuesday

ugh - that first layout after not scrapping regularly -it's like my creativity is out of practise or something but it's like pulling teeth to get to come together and I fear I'll hate it in the end.
