My thoughts on the new releases:
The kits are really nice this month.
Planes, Trains, and Automobiles: I didn't buy this one because I didn't think I needed something with this theme, but the more I look at it the more versatile I think this might be. I like the colors, the "this happened" diecut, the metal gears... It looks like a pretty solid masculine kit. I might go back and buy this one.
Happy Camper: This is also very nice. Great colors and patterns. I don't think the alphabet matches the papers but I appreciate that they included an alphabet. I don't camp and I already have a lot of the pieces of the Echo Park collection that I used on my hiking pages. The little compasses and the wood piece are nice. This is a really solid kit.
Soak Up the Sun: I love the colors of this one. The diecut is really nice- I can't wait to use it. The alphabet definitely matches and is so cute. I always like enamel dots. I wish this set had one of their exclusive items- an acrylic or wood piece, or a charm or something. I can definitely use this one and I bought it.
Seashore: I absolutely love that Simply Vintage line and already have too much of it. It is so beautiful, though. I love that wood paper. I like the clear pearls and the starfish charms. I wish it had a diecut with it but the foam titles are nice. I bought this one. I have a ton of beach photos to scrap.
Things I noticed about all of the collections: Every one has 1 or 2 solid papers (Echo Park or Carta Bella) that have one color on one side and one on the other. I'm not sure how I feel about that. It makes the kits more versatile but I think I would rather have more patterns. Also, most come with 2 pieces of white cardstock (except Seashore). I can always use white cardstock but theirs is smooth and I think textured looks better.
I've been disappointed with them lately but this time I think all four kits are really nice and fit the "masculine" aesthetic really well. I was feeling like they lost their way but with this release I think they course corrected.
The a la carte selection was really good this time, too. I love their exclusive pieces and sequin mixes.

My first page using the June kits is on the NJFB blog today. I used the “Happy Camper” page kit & add-ons for this layout.

So I received my packages and unboxed them.
My thoughts after seeing them in person:
Planes, Trains, and Automobiles: I really like this. I have never seen that paper/diecut company before. I'm guessing from what is printed on the ephemera that it is an Australian company. I can't really use the trains and planes but there are a ton of die cuts in the package that will be useful. I love the cogs and gears. Some of the diecuts were cut wonky so I had to do some trimming.
Happy Camper: Beautiful papers and some have texture. The sticker book has a ton of things in it but there are two of every sticker which just seems like overkill. I love the little compasses. So cute- I can't wait to use this. I still think the alphabet doesn't match. The wood piece is nice.
Soak Up The Sun: I love that diecut. I can't decide which paper(s) to back it with. I also love the paper- it is hard to decide which side to use. The alphabet exactly matches and I love it so much. I still wish there were metal or wood pieces included.
Seashore: Oh my gosh, I love the hexagon wood paper so much. The backside of it is lovely, too. I loved it so much that I looked up that paper line. The only place that had it was Frank Garcia. I've never ordered from him before but I did buy that collection and can't wait to get it. This kit is just lovely, lovely, lovely. Lots of diecuts that are useable and the map paper is beautiful. The little gold stars are also cute. I am in love with this kit.
I also bought sequins to match Soak Up the Sun and Seashore. And the grandpa and seashore diecuts. And the Splash acrylic piece, which is crazy to spend that much on one word but I can take it apart and at least get two titles out of it.
Overall, I'm impressed. I recommend this kit club.

artbabe I’m glad you like your kits! The alpha in the “Happy Camper” kit is definitely a lighter color than the rest of the kit but I think I made it work on my layout. I have all four kits and I’ve made layouts with each! They are so much fun to work with. I ended up using the starburst for cut paper as a stencil and used distress oxide ink to create a starburst on white card stock.

I'd love to see those layouts. You did make the alpha work. The alphabet isn't that off, I'm just terribly matchy-matchy on that kind of stuff. I love kits though, they make me think out of the box. I'd never use some of the combinations of supplies if I didn't get them in a kit. For example, the Planes, Trains, and Automobiles isn't something I would normally get but I'm excited to try it out. I always think of kits like doing a puzzle- it makes my brain think in new ways while I try to figure out the "answer". It also reminds me of the tv show Chopped. It is like getting a jar of strawberry jam, chicken feet, asparagus, and a banana. Now make something from it. Except the kit stuff goes together more, of course.
I really wish there were more kit clubs like Not Just For Boys. So many have gone out of business. I think every month of Hip Kit looks the same. Felicity Jane is too girly for what I scrap. I'm glad Cocoa Daisy is back to making 12x12 kits but last months didn't do anything for me. I'm intrigued by Club Scrap, but the paper is very shiny and that isn't my jam.
So Not Just For Boys is the only one that has what I want in a kit club. I do miss the large kits, though. I loved the large amount of product to work with. I'm still making layouts with those old kits.
I always over buy Not Just for Boys because I want them to stay in business.

artbabe as I post my June layouts on the NJFB blog I will also post them here! I made four layouts (one from each kit) in two days… I love how each of them turned out! I’m ok with products not being as matchy-matchy and I love using up supplies! NJFB is truly unique and I have loved working for them. I can’t wait to get my box each month.

I wish they would add more a la carte items throughout the month. Now I go there once a month and that is it. It would make me check out their site more. I love the a la carte items. I'm a sucker for the kind of supplies they make.

I love your pages. I haven't used either of those kits yet but I'm hoping to get them out this week. I can't decide what to back the sunburst diecut with. I like the example that has all of the different patterns but your use of one color is really striking. Decisions, decisions...
I also love the car page. Your clusters are really nice. I'm excited to use that kit.

Using the “Soak Up the Sun” page kit. I wouldn’t have imagined that red, navy, and other bold colors would look so good with that background paper! Your pages always look good but I feel like this one deserves a separate call out because of the unique colors and embellishments you used. Thank you for the inspiration!

craftymom101 I would love to see your layouts. I thought the last two limitless releases were kind of ugly so I'd love to have you convince me on this one. I think the red alphabet threw me off- it doesn't seem to match anything else. Which is dumb of me because I could always switch in one of my own alphabets. I'd say I've bought about 80% of the kits released since they started. I look forward to the first of the month. This time neither kit appealed to me- I ended up just buying some embellishments. I like the idea of the Nostalgia kit- it just missed the mark somehow. I was kind of bummed there were only two kits released, too. When I see your layouts (I always love them) I'll probably change my mind and buy it though. I can be persuaded. I really loved the green and aqua limitless kit and I loved the one with the nautical paper that had the wood hexagons. I bought the naturalist one but I haven't used it yet. But the last two were disappointing. But I love Not Just For Kids. I make sure I buy something every month because they are the last kit club of their kind and I want to keep them in business. I make so many layouts with their kits- check out the Q4 sharing page and you'll see I made 23 layouts with the kits just in the last 3 months. I don't know if you have any pull but the things that really sell it to me are the white die cuts, the charms, wood pieces, embroidery floss, sprinkles, and ribbons. I love the doodads. Advertisement to everyone- if you haven't bought a NJFB kit, give them a try. They have quite a few left from previous months and a lot of them are amazing.

I will post my layouts when they are released on the NJFB blog! Around the 8th, 18th, and 28th. The red alpha was a surprise for me as well, but I ended up using it and I think it worked great!

I used it on a couple of layouts with a small spatula and a stencil. It dries hard but is easy to smooth over a stencil!

I saw a really nice page using this month's snow kit on Instagram. I'm probably going to have to break down and buy it. I'm just addicted to this club.
