Hawley has issues with his masculinity. One reason he works so hard to dominate women, because he can't stand up to his man friends!!

I’m watching dumpster don film that video telling the terrorists to go home. Maybe I missed this or tuned it out but he was claiming he won the election by a landslide. Seriously? A landslide?

WTF is wrong with Pence? Does he not realize how close to being killed he was? What kind of loyalty to that giant circus peanut does he have?

www.nytimes.com/2022/07/21/us/politics/national-guard-january-6-riot.htmlA Jan. 6 Mystery: Why Did It Take So Long to Deploy the National Guard? The hearing did not fully answer the question, but it shed light on Mr. Trump’s refusal to order troops to assist police officers who were overrun by an angry mob determined to halt the certification of the 2020 presidential election.
The mobilization and deployment of National Guard troops from an armory just two miles away from the Capitol was hung up by confusion, communications breakdowns and concern over the wisdom of dispatching armed soldiers to quell the riot.
It was Vice President Mike Pence who was critical to trying to move forces to the Capitol, officials have said.
“There were two or three calls with Vice President Pence. He was very animated, and he issued very explicit, very direct, unambiguous orders. There was no question about that. And I can get you the exact quotes from some of our records somewhere,” Gen. Mark A. Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told the House committee in an interview. “But he was very animated, very direct, very firm to Secretary Miller. Get the military down here, get the guard down here. Put down this situation, et cetera.”
By contrast, Mr. Milley said, the call he received from Mr. Meadows was about preserving Mr. Trump’s image. He recalled that Mr. Meadows said something to the effect of: “We have to kill the narrative that the vice president is making all the decisions. We need to establish the narrative, you know, that the president is still in charge and that things are steady or stable.”

Different sound tracks have been added to “the run”. I like both of these but the second one I think is my favorite.

Yesterday all my troubles seemed so far away.,... Bwhahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope that people now realize Noel Casler's precise recollection about TFG and his offspring's behavior during Apprentice. All on point. Dude cannot read. It's not his vision. He despises words with more than 2 syllables. Seriously!
There should be more strict rules about even running for the U.S. President position (age limits, ability to comprehend/read/write, no criminal background AT ALL, etc.). Just a thought.

I guess I am living in a fantasy world, but my main take from these hearings, especially last night, was why the hell didn’t somebody other than TFG - the Generals in charge of the military, Homeland Security, whoever - declare a state of emergency and immediately stop the rioters with force. TFG was OBVIOUSLY deranged and delusional and peoples’ lives were at stake. The Secret Service was making calls to their family to say goodbye, FFS! I can’t wrap my head around the fact that EVERYONE was pleading with him to call them off, yet it took 187 minutes to wait him out. Were they THAT afraid of him? I know the best way to make the insurrectionists back off was to hear directly from TFG, but why wait that long? I am shocked that more innocent people weren’t killed. Holy crap, what if we had been under attack from a foreign country and he did nothing b/c it might affect his political standing, just like the management of the Pandemic…. The man is insane.
We are doomed…
Edited to add we are doomed unless we can outvote the GQP/trump humpers.

But why didn't they have the courage to invoke the 25th amendment? What were all of them doing during there insurrection? I can't think of a more appropriate time in history to use the 25th amendment. I know there were some resignations, but too little, too late. And for the most part, those that resigned faded into the background and remained silent. www.nytimes.com/article/trump-resignations.htmlwww.politico.com/news/2022/01/03/trumpworld-jan-6-526291Also, why did we have to wait until books were published or people testified under oath to hear some of these details?

I wondered this last night too.... In a column for the Bulwark, conservative pundit Amanda Carpenter noted that, in a key clip shown by the January 6 House committee on Thursday night, Republican Party leaders huddled together during a phone call and made plans to get back to work as the Capitol was cleared. As the former advisor to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) pointed out, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy was nowhere to be seen. That led her to ask, "Where was Kevin?" before adding, "He’s not telling." According to the commentator, the fact that the GOP leader of the House was missing in action from his fellow Republican leaders should raise more questions about his Jan. 6 activities than his on-again, off-again relationship with Donald Trump. www.rawstory.com/kevin-mccarthy-january-6-2657713077/

Good point.. But the reality is the Republicans in Congress are all derelict in their duty as members of Congress.

This, why couldn't someone else call for backup - National Guard and whatnot? Why couldn't someone else make a statement? I know Pelosi is blamed by the right and I am pretty sure they have said she had no authority to do so before hand but if so why not bring it up that it was all because TFG refused to bring in the proper help. Of course they have witnesses saying that he wanted the armed rioters let in and to get rid of the mags knowing that they were then going to the capitol.
