@dottyscrapper the producer they are talking about is a former ABC TV producer who is doing some or all the production for the hearings. I think that is it, but of course, I could be wrong too!!

I thought Scalise ( in the fox video link from onelasttime's post ) was questioning who had produced the video that was being shown? The video they showed is part of a larger filming of a documentary that had initially nothing to do with Jan 6 , they were filming a documentary about the Proud Boys. Have I misunderstood what video Scalise was referring to?

Maybe ....went back and listened to it... Ok the video by Quested was his work. He stated he was under subpoena. I thought he said he offered it to the committee as evidence as needed. NOT the whole video.. who knows...
Thousands of people offered their videos as well as photographs.

No one paid him to make that video,he just happened to have some footage of that date along with many others. I have no idea if he was under subpoena to give evidence but he certainly wasn't filming under any instructions from Dems or anyone else on that day as has been suggested by Scalise.

Have I misunderstood what video Scalise was referring to? They hired a TV producer to oversee putting together the clips with the live testimony for Thursday night's hearings so that it would all run smoothly. Basically they hired someone with specific technical skills because, unsurprisingly, no one on the committee has those skills. This shouldn't be a big deal - Scalise is making a mountain out of nothing.

Oh well. At least she isn’t kissing Trump’s ^#^< but that’s is frustrating. So many things that they shouldn’t get away with. Saw a few more comments in an unrelated group and the it wasn’t Trump fans that broke in it was Antifa we all got it wrong and all the people that were trump fans are lying. Hundreds of them snd must be in for a long con lol. Wake up people. I know better than to try and have a discussion about any of this as they don’t believe anything the Dems say as it’s only lies. Only 20 million watched. That is much lower than I would have expected. That’s actually pretty pathetic that only that many cared. I might be wrong but that might just be the number that watched it live on TV. I watched the 2nd half on-line (WaPo streamed it) then watched the PBS coverage on you tube after to see the entire hearing. Thank you for mentioning this, I’ll try to watch it that way! I should be able to watch at least parts of the next hearings this week since they are during the day when I’m home.

I was just thinking what an immature f’ing bully the former President is. One doesn’t do what he wants, one gets fired (or asked to resign) and then he calls them names. I mean really?!!? Personally I don’t want him anywhere near the White House and the nuke codes again. He is too volatile.
As I was typing this I had the thought that no wonder the 1st person’s platform of anti-bullying feel flat on its face.

As I was typing this I had the thought that no wonder the 1st person’s platform of anti-bullying feel flat on its face. I thought about this, too. I thought this is why you don’t elect a narcissist/egomaniac. He can’t admit that he lost. He even warned us in 2016 when asked what he would do if he lost, he refused to say he would accept the results. This was a pretty accurate description of his behavior, except regrettably, it happened in 2020, not 2016. www.washingtonpost.com/posteverything/wp/2016/11/03/what-does-donald-trump-do-when-he-loses-he-acts-like-it-never-happened/ His behavior in defeat has stayed remarkably consistent throughout his career: Either he didn’t really lose, or it was someone else’s fault. In other words, he acts like it didn’t happen.

Who will be appearing tomorrow Former Donald Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien was one of those known to be testifying under oath, but the committee has also disclosed that former Fox News political editor Chris Stirewalt will also give testimony. Stirewalt was fired by Fox after calling Arizona for Joe Biden on Election Night. The longtime numbers guy drew fire from the former president for the call, and kicked off a years-long feud between Trump and the network. The others to appear before the committee include election lawyer Benjamin Ginsberg, BJay Pak -- the former U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia-- and Al Schmidt, the former City Commissioner of Philadelphia.Ginsberg has represented the Republican Party and GOP candidates as a lawyer. He's also one of the veteran Republican legal experts willing to come forward and call Trump out as a liar. In 2016, Trump's campaign hired Ginsberg's law firm Jones Day, but by 2020 his frustration with the former president took a turn. Months before the election, Ginsberg retired from the law firm and penned an op-ed in the Washington Post taking aim at Trump's urging that his followers in North Carolina vote twice in the election. This call to his supporters came after Trump had been claiming that the 2020 election would be "rigged" and "fraudulent." Byung “BJay” Pak previously served in the Justice Department but he mysteriously quit before the Jan. 6 attack. According to his account, Trump was furious that there wasn't an investigation into the 2020 election. A 2021 report cited Pak saying that he thought Trump was going to fire him anyway in a major shakeup at the Justice Department. The evidence has suggested that Trump was attempting to change the leadership at the DOJ so that he could get government support to either change the election results or begin an investigation that would stall the inauguration of Joe Biden. Former Philadelphia City Commissioner Al Schmidt was a common Trump target in 2020. Schmidt appeared on CNN weeks after the election and amid Trump's claim of fraud saying, "I think people should be mindful that there are bad actors who are lying to them." His reference was to Donald Trump. According to Trump, Schmidt was "being used big time by the Fake News Media to explain how honest things were with respect to the Election in Philadelphia. He refuses to look at the mountain of corruption & dishonesty. We win!" Trump has also alleged Schmidt, who now works for a good governance group, was “a disaster on the massive election fraud and irregularities which took place in Philadelphia, one of the most corrupt election places in the United States." www.rawstory.com/january-6-witnesses/

Bill Stepien will not be attending today. He has a family emergency? ETA: According to a report from CNN, former Donald Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien will not lead off the second House Select Committee hearing on the Jan 6th insurrection on Monday morning. CNN reported noted that Stepien begged off due to a "family emergency." It was further reported that his attorney would appear and read a prepared statement and the committee was attempting to make an "accommodation" to get him to appear at a later hearing. www.rawstory.com/bill-stepien/

FOX (so called news) has been forced to carry the hearings. They were looking like they curled up into a fetal position by not showing it. Now those disturbed people who are glued to that channel are going to get an ear full today. 😂😂😂
