Ah, there Tent sale is this weekend in Newell, if I knew there was a chance of me making it back up to Canada this year, I would happily do some shopping for you!!! Most items are between $2-$11. The large disk pitchers is $11. the line is crazy long, but its worth it for the deals I want to go and shop but I am really trying not to, since I'm seriously pressed for space My sister didn’t tell me the sale was this weekend. My nephew works there. What part of Canada? 1 of my DD’s is going to Kingston later this month for a wedding. That's very kind of you to offer - but I'm a good 6 hours from Kingston

Ha! Wait till you try the bowl plates. They’re amazing. Y’all keep mentioning these and I keep resisting. Like gypsygirl we are having more and more large salads for dinner. And an amazing thought just occurred to me. I don’t have any more room to display these behind my glass cabinet doors. But you know what that means? I can get them in the colors I love but that don’t work with my color scheme! cakediva That’s one of the colors I have and I still smile when I use it. Enjoy!

Just an FYI the bistro bowl is different than the bowl plate. The bistro bowl is like a standard bowl. The bowl plate is like a plate with a curved lip on it. You might also like the pasta bowl. That bowl is my go to for pasta, dinner salads, and stir fry. Will have to look at both the bowl plate and the pasta bowl as well as the bistro bowl. I feel certain one of those will work for us. Hoping to get them in lapis.

I use the luncheon bowl plate for side salad but would want the deeper one for a main meal salad.

I remember my mom selling a Fiesta pitcher at a garage sale in NOLA in 1965 for 25 cents. If only she knew...

Another piece to look at is the fruit bowls. I have 13 or 14 of them. They stack nicely and are perfect for a side of beans, dining sauce, a scoop of ice cream, fruit, or any other side/snack you want in a small amount.

My mom tells me that my grandma had Fiestaware but she doesn't know where it went. The ugly formal china is still around. Aaargh.

If the weren't $55 a set I'd have more! LOL Ouch. It's on sale for just under $27 US on the Fiesta Factory Direct site. I don't know how that translates to Canada, but they do international shipping. I love buying from FFD!

They are now the only plates Jeremy will use anymore. He just loves them. I picked up the luncheon size bowl plates after reading your previous review and they are all DH uses now. I love them, too, although the medium bowls are still my favorite.

Those who love the bowl plates I have a question about size. Our salads consist of 4 cups of spinach (or kale) plus chicken/pork/salmon and fruit, plus smaller add-ins. Do you think these would work well without spilling over, mor would a different bowl work better? We have pedestal bowls, and they work well but are too big.

When they ordered, you could special order. I have 12 place settings, all different colours, mixing bowls, gravy boat, ramekins, etc. etc. Sadly, they don’t carry it any more. Expensive, yes, but my dishes still make me happy, when I open my cupboard. There are still items I’d like but don’t really need, a spoon rest, utensil caddy, one canister.

jennifercw those might work perfectly. We will have to use our pedestal bowls for our next salad meal and measure to see how much space is left. Thanks!
