I'm surprised by the very specific rock climbing collection. I don't have any use for it but if they ever come up with a backpacking collection I'd buy it.

Yeah, rock climbing is SUPER specific. I have a friend who climbs. Weird choice.
I might grab a few things from Santa Paws as we have 2 dogs.

Must. Have. Rock Climbing! Dd's whole family do outdoor rock climbing on summer vacations, (her dh does this several times a year and her ds will attend an indoor camp this summer), and dgd (my ds's dd) plans to join an indoor climbing club in the fall. (She currently is enrolled in lessons once per week)
Santa Paws is cute! I think it could be used to make some cool holiday cards.

Rock Climbing is now at the top of my wish list - DD15's high adventure Girl Scout troop has it on next year's schedule (first in a gym and then out in the wild).
Love Santa Paws (Cat version) as well - with six kitties - we always have kitty Christmas pics
the others aren't for me

Santa paws is cute, but I don't need it. I like the Halloween one, especially the mix of teal but don't need that either. So excited about the rock climbing one! I know it's really specific, but my boys enjoy climbing, mostly on indoor climbing walls. I loved the Photoplay National Parks collections and was really hoping they would do more, but maybe they didn't sell well? I would be thrilled to see a hiking/ backpacking one. Or a zipline, high ropes course. Very specific, I know but the rock climbing one gives me hope. There's probably not a big demand, but I really like that Photoplay branches out beyond the standard themes for collections.

I LOVE that rock climbing line. I'm tempted to buy a bit to replace my hideous first pages I made.
I don't have pets, but really like the papers that aren't pet themed. I like bright white and red in Christmas lines mixed with some green and black.
I want the ghost paper in Fright Night.
I want the sunflower stamps. I could use those for more than fall. I like the candy corn background stamp. It's tempting.

I have no use for the Rock Climbing but I think it's fantastic! They said a couple of years ago that they were going to put out different releases of different sports and I think they are doing great with it! Santa Paws is cute! I don't have a use for it, but I like it. I wish they had a card kit with that one! I would definitely buy that and send them to my friends with pets. I also have no use for Fright Night but I WANT it! I love that teal/aqua color in there! I agree with whomever above about the sunflowers! They are lovely! I also like the autumn word trio stamp. And the rounded rectangle die looks interesting!

I love the Santa Paws.
I love a few of the Halloween products.
The Rock Climbing is cute too, but I have no need for that.
I love the brighter, bolder colors. Glad to see that instead of vintage colors, muted or pastels.

I'm also glad to see them covering themes that are less common but obviously welcomed even though I have no use for it.
I really love the use of that turquoise instead of purple or green in the Halloween line and I love the idea behind Santa Paws even though I probably wouldn't use any of it.

I generally am not a Photoplay fan. Just not my general aesthetic. But here are my thoughts:
Rock Climbing- I have no need for this but I really appreciate that they went for a more targeted theme.
Santa Paws - I like a few of these papers and I love the stencil. I think the cat with the fallen tree is really cute. I won't get all of this collection but I will get a few pieces and the stencil is a must.
Fright Night - This really isn't bad. I love the ghost paper- that is a must. I also like the skull paper and I like the skull stencil but I'm not sure how it works.
Say it with Stamps - I don't use dies and I rarely use stamps but some of the stencils are quite nice. I like the pumpkin faces and a leaf one. I have a stencil problem.
Overall, I like these better than most Photoplay.

There is a pea who is doing a whole rock climbing album for their brother... I can't remember who it is?!?

What is cool is they did the Great Outdoors collection, then released Camping with My Gnomies and now the Rock Climbing. So you can build up a whole versatile outdoor collection based on your needs with out having to buy a large collection. I think that is awesome and that they keep doing that!
I like Fright Night. Santa Paws is meh for me.

I like the rock climbing, yet have no current use for it. It's been way too long since I've gone and none of my kids are into it. But with the rise of many rock walls and such I can see it being used quite a bit. I do wish they'd have more baseball things out there. I haven't seen any new lines lately and I have WAY too many baseball pictures between my kids.

Thanks for your responses. While nothing is added to my wish list, I appreciate the inclusion of an obscure sport, gender-neutral pet collection, & teal (& yellow) added to the traditional orange/black/white Halloween color palette. ... Fright Night - ... I like the skull stencil but I'm not sure how it works. ... ... I have a stencil problem. ... Like you, I also have a "stencil problem;" they're inexpensive, easy to use, & add interest. The skull stencil appears to be a standard stencil over which ink/glaze/etc. is applied to produce the pattern shown in white. HTH.

There is no way that would work unless there are attaching pieces I don't see or there is a second stencil.

I apologize for misspeaking; the standard (ie non-layering) skull stencil appears to create the negative pattern shown in black. I wish manufacturers would clearly indicate such on the product photos & packaging of stencils that yield the negative pattern.

The stencil blocks the white skull with open spaces to create the black background, I think.

Yikes, artbabe, you've uncovered a mystery! Upon further inspection, it appears the skull stencil cannot produce a negative pattern either since the skulls are also not connected. I'm guessing it's a standard (positive) stencil of the skull pattern shown in white without face details, since I've previously bought stencils that were not exactly as pictured in the product photos or packaging (e.g. Simple Stories Say Cheese 4 fireworks). So you would use the stencil with off white ink or moulding paste on a dark background? I apologize for the confusion. For clarity, most stencils are positive, meaning the pattern is cut out of the stencil so ink/glaze/etc. applied over the holes in the stencil creates the pattern. Negative stencils, however, are the opposite; the stencil is the pattern so the application of ink/glaze/etc. over the holes in the stencil fills the space surrounding/within the pattern to highlight the negative or unfilled/not inked/glazed/etc. pattern. Therefore, when using negative stencils, the ink/glaze/paste/etc. should be the desired color of the background (e.g. black for contrast), & the paper is the desired color of the pattern (e.g. white cardstock to represent skulls). For visuals, see this card by Svitlana Shayevich, who spread blue paste over the Altenew Grid Stencil to create the grid pattern on a white card panel, & this layout by Michelle Gallant, who applied white gesso over the Carta Bella Vintage Grid Stencil to form grid lines on the pale pink cardstock. HTH.

I really like the teal in the Halloween line. I’m a sucker for the dogs & cats in the Christmas line. I loved the Muttcracker line from a few years ago and used it for pea Christmas cards in two different years.

Hopefully the stores will have a photo of the stencil when they sell it. I looked at the fireworks one you posted. That is maddening. The stencil is still nice but definitely not the pattern depicted.

It is described as "one 6x9 stencil" priced at $12.99! Oddly, Santa Paws, also a 6x9 stencil, is priced at $12.99 while the stencils in the Say It With Stamps collection are priced differently (e.g. Pumpking Faces, a 6x9 stencil, is $8.99; Leaves Are Falling, a 2-pc 6x9 stencil set, is $10.99; Fall Rainbows, a 3-pc 6x9 stencil set, is $12.99; & Sunflowers, a 6-pc 6x9 stencil set, is $16.99).

Forget gas prices- those prices made me gasp. I'm used to paying $6-$8 for a stencil, which is still crazy for a piece of plastic. I know they have to pay the designer- I'm huge about making sure that artists are paid well- but $13 is crazy. The fact that the prices are also all over the map? So weird.
