A Pride event in Utah.
I honestly don’t know what to say.
From the AP article…
”The men were standing inside the truck wearing khakis, navy blue shirts and beige hats with white balaclavas covering their faces when Coeur d’Alene police stopped the U-Haul and began arresting them on the side of the road.”
&
“Police found riot gear, one smoke grenade, shin guards and shields inside the van, White said. They wore arm patches and logos on their hats that identified them as members of Patriot Front, he said.“
I wasn’t sure if this video was the real thing. Take a took.
But according to AP it really happened.

I thought I saw that they were actually at the pride families event in Couer d'Alene? (Pardon me for likely misspelling).

Why is someone tagging this as political? I don't see anything at all political in the article. I think it should be tagged "criminal".

I just saw this on the NBC morning show. It was a person who saw the way they were dressed that reported it to the police.

Well, at this point, I guess we can be thankful they left their AR15’s at home. 🤷♀️
I really just don’t have words anymore.

Freedom of information is great, but..... police confirmed conspiracy because they had written plans in the vehicle with them. Did we REALLY need that info so quickly?
They were armed! Questionable... looking for more info .. not sure it is true . Cannot find any confirmation

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at their use of rental trucks to arrive at "battle" sites, but have to give a huge thank you to the concerned citizen who saw them loading up and called law enforcement.

The sheriff has released their names and addresses. 11 states.. you can click on the link and download the list... Big deal $300 bail... The first one listed had drugs, his bail is $5000... An Idaho sheriff has released the names and addresses of 31 purported members of a right-wing group that has been accused of planning a riot at a Pride event. www.rawstory.com/patriot-front-arrests/

7 from Texas.
What kind of hate is in your heart to travel cross country to be hateful?
If some group wants to march in a peaceful, joyful parade, why the heck is that your business, and why does it make you want to travel miles and miles to disrupt the parade?

My guess is they purposely came from far and wide to Northern Idaho to have more of an impact (in their eyes).
If 31 assholes go to a major city (or even a medium one) to disrupt a Pride Parade they are nothing.
So, 31 assholes go to a town of 50,000 in a State that is very red, to a specific part of the State that is widely known to have a lot of white supremacists to feel like they are big, brave men.
They are cowards.

All of that is true, but/and that is also a part of the state that is close to Spokane, and really pretty and gets a lot of tourists (I was just there in August, and spent a morning at that beautiful park). They are cowards, but I have to say I really do find this stuff scary (and similar groups show up in Portland and Seattle and cause problems). My oldest started work at the Jewish community center in my area today and you do not even want to see the level of security there right now.

This is just absolutely horrible.
Some of these idiots are so young too, only 20-21 years old. They must have been 12-13 when QAnon and Trump started gaining traction. Radicalization of young men on the internet is real!

Radicalization of young men on the internet is real! Unfortunately white supremacy has been around forever. Think kkk, nazis ... They are just out in the open now. *** Some fool this morning said too bad there is no draft to force them into the military .. sure train them to kill... How many former military are now in these groups, proud boys/oath keepers, as well as LEOs, active and retired... In the case of military, retired, they should be recalled and face a Court Martial, including Ret Gen Mike Flynn...

Yes, he may have saved many lives by calling law enforcement. I can't imagine what those monsters would have done at this event.

The PD is getting serious threats, including death threats. On Monday, The Daily Beast reported that the police department in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho are being bombarded with angry messages — including death threats — after a high profile mass arrest of the members of the white supremacist group Patriot Front. *** "Police Chief Lee White said Monday the department had received 149 phone calls since the arrests, some of which have included death threats," reported Alice Tecotzky. "About half of the calls were complimentary, White told reporters, 'and the other 50 percent — who are completely anonymous, who want nothing more than to scream and yell at us and use some really choice words — offer death threats against myself and other members of the police department.' Some callers have threatened to publish officers’ personal information, such as their phone numbers or addressed, online." According to Nick Martin of the independent hate group tracker The Informant, white supremacist activists are already zeroing on on the Coeur d'Alene police department as a target after the arrests took place "Neo-Nazis on other social media platforms have started doxxing members of law enforcement in Coeur d'Alene. Names, home addresses, phone numbers and photos are being circulated," wrote Martin. "One of the members of the Coeur d'Alene Police Department is being described by neo-Nazis as an 'Anti-American and Pedophile Apologist' because the arrests prevented the Patriot Front members from allegedly planning to disrupt a Pride event." Coeur d'Alene, a town in the Idaho panhandle near Spokane, Washington, is part of a region that has become a notorious hotbed for right-wing paramilitary extremists. www.rawstory.com/patriot-front-2657501278/

What is wrong with these people? They are willing to kill or maim people who are posing no threat to them. This will also mean the end of their viability as functioning people in society (f they ever were, or could have been) when they are injured, killed, or arrested. What is the possible upside of this behavior, beyond high-fiving their similarly short-sighted buddies?
I must be naive, or missing something...? I just cannot make any sense of it.

And they have other connections... Two of the white nationalists arrested after traveling to Idaho in a U-Haul truck have ties to a right-wing former state legislator from Washington. Mishael and Josiah Buster, two brothers from Spokane, were among 31 members of Patriot Front who traveled from various states to Coeur d’Alene, where police said they intended to provoke a violent clash during a LGBTQ+ pride event -- which also drew an alternative "prayer walk" organized by former state Rep. Matt Shea, reported The Spokesman-Review. Shea who was expelled from the House Republican caucus after he was found to have engaged in domestic terrorism during the armed takeover of Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon in 2016, falsely insisted after the arrests that anti-fascist activists were in the U-Haul on their way to ambush him and his followers. *** Mishael Buster can be seen making jokes in a December 2021 livestream video from On Fire Ministries, and the 22-year-old and his father Matt Buster read announcements from the stage before Shea delivered a message. www.rawstory.com/two-2657508173/#cxrecs_s

That would be the same Matt Shea that turned up in Poland at the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and attempted to take 60 children for adoption in the US, telling local authorities to mind their own business when questioned.
