Hi!! Many/most of you probably don’t remember me, but I was active on this board for several years up until late 2018/early 2019. This forum was a lifeline for me as a scared and lonely first time mom who was living in a new town where I knew literally no one.
My life has changed A LOT in the last three years (then again, hasn’t it for all of us?), and I really haven’t scrapped much at all. I’ve worked on a few tiny things here and there but stopped adding to my stash (despite that, I still have enough paper and embellishments to last a lifetime!) and stopped keeping up with the industry in general. There were even a couple of times I considered selling my entire stash and giving up on scrapbooking altogether.
I still get the ACOT promotional emails and opened one up on a whim last week. I ended up placing my first scrappy order in years and it inspired me to pull out a project and start working. It was a great reminder of how much fun this hobby can be and why I still love it. I think I’ve accepted that I will never be as prolific as I’d like to be, but doing some layouts is way better than none at all.
I’m glad to see that the industry is still going strong and that this forum is active and busy as ever. 😊 I just wanted to say hello because this board still holds a very fond place in my heart. I was shown a lot of kindness and friendship here and hope to be around more often going forward. 😊

Hello!
it feels so good to be back in the scrappy saddle, doesn't it? For a few years I focused on Project Life and card making, but recently got back into 12x12 scrapping in a huge way - attending the Crop and Create Scrapbooking event in early May was the catalyst. My obsession is back in full force.
What did you end up getting from ACOT, if you don't mind me asking?

Welcome back, sarahbee! This board is always home, no matter how long you stay away from it or the scrappy craft. I'm glad to see you here again. I hope life has been kind to you over the past few years - pandemic madness excluded. How's your little one? How's the town now you've gotten acquainted with it and settled in? And just like marg, I'm dying to know what you ordered from ACOT. If you're interested, the 2022 Christmas and Halloween collection threads are already up. It never hurts to look and get tempted...

And think about joining one of the teams for Quarter 3. I have a similar story to you. I stopped scrapping for a lot of years, then came back to it in 2018. Now that my kids are older, and have both finished school, and I'm working from home, I have a lot more time to scrap. I love it! Welcome back!

Thank you, ladies! I don’t mind at all. I ordered some pieces from the Creator’s Meadow line from 49 & Market, and a few sheets of paper from Welcome to Paradise by Asuka Studio. That one (Asuka) is a new brand to me so I’m interested to see the quality. My daughter is wonderful. She’s 5 years old now and such a joy. She’ll be a kindergartener this fall. And she’s now a big sister as well! I had another daughter in April 2021. They ended up being almost exactly 4 years apart - there are 9 days in between their birthdays! I feel incredibly fortunate to have my two girls. We moved to my hometown in March 2019. It was the right choice for us and I’m so glad we did. My mother in law very sadly passed away in November 2020 due to the virus that shall not be named. My parents live across town from us and I’m thankful that my daughters have their remaining grandma close by.

Welcome back to the Board, sarahbee (and to scrapbooking!). My story is similar to AussieMeg’s—Life got busy and I stopped scrapping for a few years, then my kids grew up, Covid happened, and now that I am an (almost) empty nester working part-time from home, I have more time for scrapping and other crafty pursuits. Congrats on your 2nd little one!!

Welcome back! Although I wasn’t active on this side of the board when you were here before, I’ve been a pea since 1999. Lol. Wow. I was scrapping then but quit maybe in 2009 ish? Can’t remember exactly. I picked up project life for about 7 months in 2014 and then quit again until the end of 2020 when I did a memory planner through all of 2021. 2022 I’ve started up full steam again with PL and a couple other projects.

Hello! I think I remember your name from the NSBR side. ☺️ I just looked and apparently I joined Two Peas in February 2010. I basically just shopped and didn’t really engage in the forums much at all. I still miss that site like crazy though. Very glad to hear you’ve gotten back into the hobby as well!

Welcome back!
I’ve done more card making than scrapbooking, but I need to get back to scrapbooking again, too.

Welcome back sarahbee. Folks are still really nice over here. I haven't scrapped much in the last 2 or 3 years but have been going through some of my supplies (trying to pare down) and have gotten inspired to tackle some projects. Hope you jump back in with both feet!
