Really? Yeah right. Dimwit. She's speaking specifically to Title 18, Section 1507, of the U.S. Code. The law states that it is illegal, “with the intent of influencing any judge,” to: picket or parade “in or near a building or residence occupied or used by such judge, juror, witness, or court officer” “or with such intent,” to resort “to any other demonstration in or near any such building or residence” From the Washington PostThey’ve made a decision. None of the protesting occurred until after the decision was leaked (I’m my opinion, most likely by someone in the conservative camp). How are they trying to influence a judge when the decision has already been rendered?

I mean, isn't that the point of protesting, to affect change?

“Inflation is transitory” my ass. 9.1%-woo hoo; way to go joe!!! Yeah, first "it didn't exist", then it was "oh, I guess it does exist, but its a good thing" then it was "oh, it isn't a good thing after all, but it's only transitory" then it will be "oh, oops, I guess it isn't transitory, "but..." You two are so intent on “gotcha” posts that you never take the time to actually look and make sure you know what the hell you are taking about before you post your “gotcha” posts. This may come as a shock to you two that Presidents are not experts in everything. That is why they have advisors with expertise in different subjects to advise them. It is clear many of the economic experts, including the Secretary of the Treasury, believed that this inflation at the beginning could be transitory. And as late as May some economic experts still believed the inflation would be transitory. By June it became clear that it wasn’t. And somehow this is all Joe Biden’s fault. For heaven sakes at least make an attempt to understand what you are posting about, especially if it’s a “gotcha” post so you don’t look ignorant. Seriously Google is your friend. 5-12-2022 From GoBankingRate… link” What Is Transitory Inflation? The Economic Impact”
From the article… What Is Transitory Inflation? Inflation is transitory when experts expect that it won’t last. Inflation often rises and then levels out or rises slowly over a long period of time. There are a few different patterns of transitory inflation. A sharp, temporary increase in prices followed by a dip An increase in prices followed by a plateau A quick increase in prices, after which prices continue rising but more slowly Is Our Economy Experiencing Transitory Inflation? As prices increase, consumers look to the federal government for guidance on the state of the economy and predictions about the future. The Federal Reserve and other financial experts estimate that America’s current inflation may increase more than is normal over the remainder of the year. By definition, we are currently experiencing transitory inflation. Still, many wonder how high will prices go, and how long the inflation will last — some experts doubt whether the current inflation trend is truly transitory or if inflation will continue to increase.”
5-22-2022 NISKANEN… link“ Maybe inflation will be transitory after all”
From the article… ” When U.S. inflation started creeping up in early 2021, economists were confident that it would prove transitory. As prices have risen higher, that view has taken a beating. Yet, the most comprehensive attempt to distinguish transitory from persistent inflation still suggests that the latest uptick will not last. The data comes from the New York Federal Reserve’s underlying inflation gauge (UIG). When work on the UIG began in the early 2000s, there were already several measures of inflation that attempted to remove excess volatility. The best known of these is the core CPI (that is, the full CPI with food and energy prices removed). But although that approach helps, it has known problems. One is that the specific items that cause excess volatility in the CPI may change over time. Another is that the best predictors of inflation trends may not be found among the data used in constructing the CPI.” 6-12-2022..The Washington Post… link“ Inflation Finally Drives a Stake Through ‘Transitory’” Analysis by Jonathan Levin | Bloomberg June 13, 2022 at 3:54 a.m. EDT Wall Street is finally getting the message that inflation isn’t going to go away easily. For all the signs that price pressure was spreading, wishful thinking had pervaded the markets for much of May: Bond yields dropped, stocks rallied and the soothsayers started to suggest that the Federal Reserve might be able to stop raising interest rates in September. In a sense, the idea that inflation was “transitory” never truly died — perhaps until now. That delusion set the stage for the sharp selloff Friday in stock and bond markets after a Labor Department report showed consumer prices rose 8.6% in May from a year earlier, a new four-decade high and well above economists’ expectations. Now that investors have learned their lesson the hard way, there’s a risk that inflation expectations may start to drift sustainably higher from here, creating a whole new set of problems for the Fed.”

"issue more drilling permits!!!" "Build that pipeline!!!" et. al. ... and so many other tired, cliched, wrong-headed statements that have been debunked so many times before. it hurts my head.

Why would these assholes think something like this would be made up? Maybe they think that because they themselves would make up stuff like this to support their chosen narrative.

Ouch? No. He most certainly should have apologized. Speaks to his character. Covering up a sexual assault by deleting his incorrect accusation? That doesn't even make sense unless Jim Jordan's twitter is the only place the information existed. That's some serious Olympic level twisting of reality to say he did it to cover up sexual assault.

First, Gov. Rick Scott scared the bejesus out of seniors with an online ad claiming that Medicare rate cuts would lead them to lose access to their doctors, hospitals and preventive care. Then, the Florida Democratic Party fired back at Scott, issuing a press release that called Scott "the ultimate Medicare thief." The Democrats were referring to Scott’s prior tenure as CEO of Columbia/HCA about a decade ago, when the hospital company was fined $1.7 billion for Medicare fraud. www.politifact.com/factchecks/2014/mar/03/florida-democratic-party/rick-scott-rick-scott-oversaw-largest-medicare-fra/*** Democrats: Medicare fraud is 'fungus' Scott will never get rid of. It was a reference to the abuse of wrestlers while also slapping at him for lying about the 10 year old. It was a reference to both — because he has lied about both. There’s not an if there - he did it — multiple athletes have stated he did it, OSUs investigation found the abuse happened and none of the coaches who knew responded appropriately and OSU has paid settlements to many of the athletes and some of their families as it led some of the athletes to commit suicide.

Except, unless the various nuclear power plants in the country have some sort of magic wand where they can just whisk the spent nuclear waste to New Mexico, then it’s coming by road or train. An environmental hazard waiting to happen.
