7-19-2022 Much is made of the times President Biden doesn’t say something right. “They” go on about his “cognitive issues. ” Last night the one in the second tweet said “the Kavanaugh assassination". She’s young. What about her “cognitive issues”? Couldn't happen to a nicer person! You pick which!!

The man can't even put together a complete paragraph let alone a sentence. If it's not on the teleprompter, he can't form the sentence/paragraph. I'm assuming that is why he doesn't answer reporters questions.

The President of the United States being treated like a 5 year old. That's an edited version of Jill Biden pulling him back in the fall of 2020 to socially distance him from the reporters www.reuters.com/video/watch/idOVCYUX5NJ

The right is always complaining about the drugs stopped at the border from entering this country and now is complaining about falling gas prices. Can’t win with these guys. More than 5 million barrels of oil that were part of U.S. emergency reserves were sent to Asia and Europe. Maybe the idiot in chief should have kept the FIVE MILLION BARRELS of oil in our own country and used them for OUR COUNTRY.

You can't shout about de-regulation then complain when 5 million barrels are sold overseas. Free market economy. Not to mention 5 billion barrels is a drop in the bucket. On average, the US uses 20 million barrels per day I already posted this earlier in the thread, but here it is again. Ted Cruz's facts are wrong or incomplete at best, and not surprisingly, so are yours. www.factcheck.org/2022/07/u-s-selling-oil-from-the-strategic-petroleum-reserve-to-the-highest-bidding-companies/However, because the price of gasoline depends largely on the cost of crude oil, which is mostly based on global supply and demand, experts told us that oil sold from the reserve does not need to stay in the U.S. to bring down gasoline prices.
“Whether it stays in the United States or goes somewhere else is less important than does it succeed in changing the global balance of supply and demand, because that’s what drives the price,” Mark Finley, a fellow in energy and global oil at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, told us in an interview.
And since Congress lifted a nearly 40-year ban on most U.S. crude oil exports in 2015, the Department of Energy, which maintains the stockpile, cannot dictate whether companies can export oil purchased from the petroleum reserve, the department said in an email.
Even before that expansive ban was lifted, the U.S. had been exporting at least some crude oil and petroleum products to China and other nations for years.www.pbs.org/wgbh/americanexperience/features/pipeline-us-and-global-oil-consumption/

When you hear something do you do any sort of check of its accuracy or are you a good little parrot and just repeat it without getting the full story? It took me less then 2 minutes to find the rest of the story about your ridiculous comment above. It was the FactCheck article already posted above. She was faster then me in posting it. 😀

But that statement is not the full picture. In reality, we were not energy independent when Trump was president. And gas was cheap because no one was going anywhere because of a pandemic that he badly mismanaged. Also, that's not how a free market works. You can't keep all of the oil and gas here. www.factcheck.org/2022/03/examining-u-s-energy-independence-claims/When politicians say that the United States was “energy independent” under former President Donald Trump, some people may get the false impression that the U.S. was 100% self-sufficient. The country still relied on foreign sources of energy, including oil.
To help meet domestic demand, the U.S. has imported oil and other forms of energy from abroad, including from Russia, for many years. And to some energy analysts, a scenario in which the U.S. relies only on the energy it produces is not likely to happen anytime soon.
Instead, those who tout this so-called “energy independence” may be referring to the fact that, on net, the country either produced more energy than it consumed, exported more energy than it imported, or, more specifically, had a greater number of exports than imports of petroleum, which includes crude oil and refined products from crude oil, such as gasoline and various fuels. However, by any of those definitions, the U.S. was still “energy independent” in 2021 under President Joe Biden — contrary to claims made by Republicans who have suggested otherwise.

And even more recently he has shown he feels entitled to make rules for the peasants that he feels no need to apply to himself, when HE traveled to a state he didn't want others doing so. A government sponsored travel ban. It really shows how idiotic his policies are that even he won't abide by them You do understand there is a difference between business travel and leisure travel don’t you? You do understand he paid for the trip and not the State of California right? Nor did the state ban any state government employee from visiting Montana on their personal time. So what is your problem?

BUT I've never seen any other president handled in such a way. It's also certainly not the first time we've seen him being treated like a 5 year old who has to be coralled and guided by hand.
