For an audience with this president, you’ll have to drive 40 minutes north of New Orleans’s bustling French Quarter, taking the 24-mile-long causeway across the murky waters of Lake Pontchartrain. And there, off a quiet, residential street on the north shore of the lake, you’ll find its moss-covered limbs sunbathing in the humid air. This president has no oval office or international crises to manage. Its only task is to stay alive—something it has done quite well for possibly 1,200 years. Allow me to introduce the current president of the Live Oak Society: the Seven Sisters live oak tree. And for only $1.35 million, you could become this president’s next owner.

that tree is beautiful!!
eta: I sure hope the contract for the house / property sale has some sort of unbreakable stipulation that the new owner has to protect and care for the tree to the best of their ability to keep it alive.

That's a lot of stress!! I can't imagine buying that house and having that tree die a year later! lol. (I read the article and looks like there is someone that cares for it - not the homeowner)

Stunning! Make the stress leave my body just by looking at it. I would love to take a nap underneath of it.

That's beautiful!
We have a tree within 1/4 mile of us that is called Mr. Majestic and some guy runs a Facebook page for photos of the tree. It is my favorite tree!
