Is anyone joining this group/class? It starts July 11 and it sounds like it will be paced like her previous classes but this one is 10 sketches/weeks. I've joined and taken a look at the sketches and I'm excited to get started next month. |

I went to have a look, just out of curiousity as I’m no good at following sketches…or actually scrapbooking lol. I do not consider $15 to be an exorbitant fee for the content and FB community but multiply that by 1500 (the number who joined the last class) and that’s over $20k! I have no idea what the overhead and associated costs are (no physical product, shipping, etc.) but it sounds like a good business plan to me.
Hope you enjoy the class and share some of your projects after!

I think the Allison class is a good thing, Keeping people engaged, highlighting product, etc.in a smart way. Everyone’s time and talent is valuable and I don’t begrudge them charging for it. |

She doesn't think they'll be recognized because they are old sketches but she wanted everyone to know. I've looked at them and I couldn't tell you which ones are redesigned and which ones are totally new. |

Sign me up! I am starting to use sketches more and more because I find my layouts tend to all look very similar and I need to shake things up. Sketches seem to be the happy place between a straight up scrap lift and just doing what I always do. I like that I can add my spin, but it gives me a strong foundation. I've done a previous online class with Allison and it was great so I'm more than happy to hand over my registration fee.

If I was a paper scrapper I would probably do it, because I used to hate having to crop photos, and would love a bunch of sketches for 4x6. But because it's so easy for me to change the size of my photos, I think I'll give this one a miss. It's over $21 AUD, which is a bit too expensive for me.

Her classes are so awesome. These ten sketches will have 300 possibilities. She does such a good job showing you how to change a sketch to fit your pictures. I've done her last 3 classes and loved them. I print them off and keep them in a binder for reference. I also have about 15 of her books, so her stuff really works for me.

Man, you guys are giving me FOMO! But I was in the last two facebook groups and haven't finished either of those classes, so I'm going to have to pass. As I'm already trying to talk myself out of that decision lol.

But I figure the lifetime access, and the sheer huge amount of material she puts together for a class is worth it. I'll retire from working someday and finally have time to get thru them, lol. |

I’m excited about taking the class, too! I know she’s been working on it for months and months.
Last class, I scheduled a time each week to do my layout, and really enjoyed that, because my personal scrapbooking is often sporadic. I was able to create double-duty layouts…adding stenciling touches so I could use the layouts for my stencil demos at We Create. I’m hoping that works again this time, so I will probably wait and use the one-page variations.

I signed up! I have taken her classes before and in my opinion they are a great value. Especially, if you like using sketches. There is a lot of content beyond just the sketches.

I have signed up for it, even though we are packing up to move sometime this summer, so I probably won't be able to start when the class starts. I know I'll use the sketches and the ideas at some point though, so it will be worthwhile.

I'm tempted to sign up just for the motivation that comes from being a part of the community. I don't expect the sketches will be anything new. I mean, there are only so many ways to arrange the photos! I think the real value of the class comes from Allison herself and being a part of the FB group.
I hope you'll all post your layouts here!

I've done the last couple of classes and really enjoyed them, and I enjoy working through the sketches with a large group of other people, especially if a sketch doesn't speak to me, so I'm sure I'll get my money's worth from this.

I have a good amount of printed pictures on hand so I’ll just need to choose supplies which will make things easier and way more fun. Editing and ordering pictures is such a chore. |

Yeah they grabbed me with the 4 x 6 idea. Makes it so much easier with photos that need scrapping. So I think I will print up my photos for our Hawaii trip last November and all things Hawaii to take with me to our cabin. Wahoo, a real plan without the stress of how to put together the layout!
