Is the class only for people with Facebook? If so, that leaves me out.

I have signed up for it, even though we are packing up to move sometime this summer, so I probably won't be able to start when the class starts. I know I'll use the sketches and the ideas at some point though, so it will be worthwhile. We have a moving date now, and we will be in our new apartment at the start of week 3 of this, so I won't miss too much. It will give me the incentive to unpack my craft supplies quickly!

Is the class only for people with Facebook? If so, that leaves me out. Anyone can buy the sketches but the bonus info will all be on facebook. Some people, including me, use facebook for their personal interests and hobbies and not really to stay connected with friends and family. I understand if you've made the decision to not use facebook at all but you could think about that possibility if you want to join the class.

Allison posted a video today showing the versatility and flexibility of the class. She showed a pdf for one of the sketches to give you an idea of what's included in the class. The classes really are a great value. One of my favorite parts of the class is looking through the gallery to see all of the different interpretations. www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xxdN_8loHc

I was on the fence but I really enjoyed her 6x6 paper pad layout class so thought I'd try this one too. I have soooo many of their sketches already but I like that these focus on 4x6 photos. I feel it's a good value for the cost.

I just signed up. I tend not to use sketches OTHER than the Scrapbook Generations ones. I don't know why, but they are simple for me to follow. $15 is a good deal!

If anyone else is thinking about joining keep in mind that there’s a deadline to join the fb group. You can buy the sketches at any time but if you want to join the fb group where you’ll get all the bonus material you’ll need to buy the class and request to join the fb group between now and the end of Friday the 8th. They need time to approve each request so they’ll stop accepting requests after that. You won’t be allowed to join the group if you request to join after the 8th.

So, Peas, now that the class has started, what are your thoughts?

So, Peas, now that the class has started, what are your thoughts? so far I'm really glad I joined - so many variations on the first sketch that I see making several versions of it myself. I haven't really dug through the gallery too much but I know I'll get ideas there also.

I love the first sketch, but I haven’t had a chance to play with it yet.

So, Peas, now that the class has started, what are your thoughts? I'm always so impressed with how many options Allison gives us. I use sketches all the time, and while I do make changes to them, I don't see nearly as many options as Allison does. I love all the different ideas with this week's sketch. I haven't had any time to scrap this week but maybe on Wednesday I can get started. It might be a one page layout.

I love the first sketch, but I haven’t had a chance to play with it yet. Me neither. All my scrapbook supplies are currently in moving boxes - moving day is next Wednesday - so I am hoping I will be unpacked and set to join in from week 3.

I'm taking the class, too! I'm pretty new to working with sketches, so this will be fun and different for me. I enjoyed the Week 1 project, especially shopping my stash and puzzle-solving how to use a 5x7 photo (which I cropped to 5x5). I am happy with the results! Currently editing my photo of the layout to share to the group and on social.

Would any of you happen to know of any youtubers or IGers that will be featuring a series using these sketches? I know it's early yet, but I really enjoyed following the scrappers who featured the 6x6 paper sketch es. Have you heard anyone mention on the FB chat for the class that they're thinking about featuring it on their social media?

So far I've seen a Heather Balzer yt video and layouts by Suzanna Lee Ashley Neu on ig. I'm hoping to see more. ETA you can search #allisondavissketch on ig and then click recent to find more layouts.

Thanks, both of you. I caught Heather's video, but didn't know about Suzanna or Ashley. I'll be sure to look for them.
And I was hoping Colie Bing was playing along - that makes me happy - I really like her pages!
I'm excited for all the content creators to put their stuff out there, but I have to keep reminding myself to be patient, lol

Me too. I wish Allison was doing videos like her previous classes, at least one discussing the layout she made. I liked that part of previous classes.

Nicole posted a YouTube video today showing her layout from the first sketch. Pardon my ignorance, but who is Nicole? I don't generally watch scrappers on You Tube so I'm n to on a first name basis with any of them.

Hi...its me...the one with too many logins and names lol!
Every year I think I will change my youtube channel from ColieBing to just my name but then I worry that anyone who knows the channel name will be lost.
Anyways... yes! I am participating in the sketch class and I am behind already. This summer has not been gentle and I am putting videos when I can.
I will have to jump ahead and post out of order as I already paired a later sketch with a cut file for Cut To You and I have to post on set dates w them.
For those that mentioned me and channel - thank you!

If you joined the group how are you doing? I got too busy around week three and how here we are already at week five and I'm behind. I also haven't uploaded any layouts to the gallery. I'm fine with this because life has been so busy lately so I have to be realistic. The sketches will still be there next month when I have more time. I'm looking forward to trying the sketch options.

I’ve gotten two completed so far. I think I liked the 6x6 paper pad theme better than the 4x6 photos theme. So far, I have yet to use an actual 4x6 photo!

So far, I’ve been keeping up. Planning week 5 now. I am very excited about the hexagons and my photos call for a retro October Afternoon line. Week 1 was my only 2-page spread, I just don’t have enough photos that are cohesive to a story and of the orientation needed to do a full 2-page spread each week. So far, I’ve been able to use 4x6’s for all of them and I’ve dug as far back as 2010 into my stash of supplies. I’ve stitched on 3 of the layouts, hand and machine. It’s been fun to be productive and try new things again.

I’ve done two double page layouts and have a third one partially complete on my desk. I’m having trouble because there has been a lot of focus on vertical photos and most of mine are horizontal orientation. I’m enjoying myself a lot in this class.

I'm pretty caught up with having a layout every week - week 4 is waiting on embellishments (I'm still deciding what to use) and week 5 is mosty done but waiting on a couple of pics to come in the mail. I'm having a lot of fun with this class and am really glad you all convinced me to sign up
