I received my "free" slimline glitter paper pad the other day. I say "free" because I paid shipping ($4 something).
I used it on a project I am making for dh's site - shaker cards for the Pride Club. I am using the Hero Arts rainbow stamp set and die set to make them.
This is my first time using their paper. Is all their paper this thin?
I do love that the glitter does not come off and the paper is smooth. Some of the glitter did rub off though when used with the die set.
Pretty colors and nice shine.
I am glad though that I didn't pay for the paper. I guess I expected thicker paper for the price.

I have not tried scrapbook.com paper so I can't comment on its quality. They have this deal going on today. Do you think it's worth it now that you have an idea of the quality? Is it copy paper thin or more like Simple Stories these days thin?

I have a couple of the A2 sized pads and they're definitely thinner than.. say Pinkfresh, but I think they're comparable to AC collection papers.

The glitter paper was the same thinness as my printer paper. OK that's super thin. I have the glitter pad and think it’s a nice quality—and best, it doesn’t shed glitter. It’s a bit heavier than copy paper though not by much, since copy paper is usually about 90-100 gsm and the glitter paper is 128 gsm. It’s marketed more for die cutting and would work for layers or strips. My other brands of glitter paper are a similar thickness. To compare, tissue paper’s gsm is about 18-22 and Neenah Classic Crest 80 lb. is 216 and the 110 pound is 297. (Their Exact Index 80 and 120 pound is much lighter weight.)

The deal you linked to is for cardstock, so is heavier - supposedly 230 gsm which is similar to Neenah Classic Crest 80 pound. I have some of their solid color cardstock pads and GSM is 210. I’d use it for layers and die cuts, not bases, iow, which I want to be substantial. It’s very smooth and I think the quality is good.

I haven't tried their glitter paper but I got some of their colored cardstock A2 packs and yeah, a lot thinner than I expected. It's not always a bad thing but it's a bit thinner than I prefer for using with die cutting and embossing folders. I haven't used it as much as I expected.

It's not always a bad thing but it's a bit thinner than I prefer for using with die cutting and embossing folders. I haven't used it as much as I expected. Their patterned A2 paper pads are 230 gsm but the solid colored is 210, so is lighter weight. In comparison, Neenah Classic Crest 80 lb. is 216. I held a piece of 80 lb. Neenah (216 gsm) and a piece of scrapbook.com colored CS (210 gsm) in each hand and waved them up and down. Scrapbook.com’s was the barest bit floppier. But I wouldn’t use either one for bases, wanting a gsm close to 300. For dry embossing if for the base, I want substantial. But I’ve embossed rice paper and other paper that’s extremely thin, as a layer or smaller piece.
