Oh, you mean the new "Tammy" movie. My first thought was the old Tammy movies with Debbie Reynolds. I guess showing my age. No... I thought this, too. BTW, I highly recommend the Debbie Reynolds movie... With a very handsome Leslie Nielsen!

I saw it last night. I liked it, but I was in the mood for stupid, funny, not anything substantial that required thought. I also saw it with my BFF so that made it more funny. I don't think my husband would have liked it.

Based on everyone's comments I'll wait for Redbox. I love Melissa too.

I might see it tomorrow while the kids see the new Tom Cruise movie. I love Melissa McCarthy. I think because of being "more" woman (I can say that, because I am too, LOL), it's got to be hard to find roles that aren't goofy. I'm sure TPTB in Hollywood won't accept her as a leading lady in a rom com, even though she looks more like a lot of "us" than Angelina, Jennifer, etc.
I just happened to watch Identity Thief and was surprised at how well she did with the dramatic scenes. I've only thought of her as a very funny comedic actress before.
Just some side notes: I saw Melissa interviewed recently about Tammy. She said she and her husband came up with their "dream list" of a cast for each part, sucked it up, and asked each person, 100% expecting to be turned down. Then they all said yes.
Susan Sarandon has been on Mike & Molly several times as an alcoholic author that Molly looks up to.

I think it looks horribly stupid. Which I find sad, cuz I LOVE Melissa. Plus she and her hubby wrote it, directed it, pretty much sunk money in to it. I think it's gonna bomb! Same here.

I did see it today and thought it was hilarious. The theater was full and everyone laughed throughout the movie. If it bombs, that'll be a shame.
Great cast: Sandra Oh, Kathy Bates, Dan Ackroyd, Alison Janney etc

It was really really good and I don't normally like Tom Cruise. Even my husband was surprised by how much he liked it too.

The kids said Edge of Tomorrow was great too so we'll be watching it later. I am one of the few Tom Cruise fans left ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg)

DD (20) went to see it and said it was ok, but not as funny as she hoped.....her recommendation to me was that it could wait for DVD.

Great cast: Sandra Oh, Kathy Bates, Dan Ackroyd, Alison Janney etc I didn't realize that Sandra Oh was in it. I definitely won't be seeing it now. She is the reason I have never watched Grey's Anatomy. I don't know what it is but I can not watch her.
