I don't own this exact one, but I know I have more in my stash (Maggie Holmes maybe...) unused. Echo Park Tape Party paper.
The pattern kind of reminds me of Band-aids... Do you cut out the shapes? Use it as a background? Something else? Just curious, maybe I'll get an idea and finally get these types of paper used, and out of my stash...

B side for the win on these types of paper - if the front design is too busy or doesn’t work well as a border (too much interrupted white space that looks weird around a photo) I cut my losses and use the “boring” back instead (most of the time I’m actually more drawn to the b side anyway like in this instance!) If I really liked the busy front I might cut a 3x4 card for a filler for a pocket page layout or to use as a tag if it just didn’t work in a layout or with my pics. Finally if I like the icon on the front I’d also probably save any scraps and cut out the shapes as embellishments…only from scraps though so I wasn’t tempted to cut out 4674675 faux washi strips when I’d only use 3-4. Can’t wait to see other people ideas!

I've done a card project with a paper like this once. Cut out a bunch of them, stacked them vertically (no white space showing + uneven edge) and ran a stitch through it all. It looked cute positioned to one side of the card panel but it was a lot of fussy-cutting so I probably wouldn't buy another paper like this. I'd imagine such a stacked look would be great as a grounding central element for a LO as well. You just better enjoy all the scissor work...

Do you cut out the shapes? Use it as a background? Something else? Do you love the pattern? (I don't think you do from your post, but just wanted to check) If you love the pattern, but it is "busy" I really like the shelf-type LO, that showcases the pattern. You can then put photos over it to tamp it down a bit. Shimelle has a great example here where the shelf is on the bottom, but you could easily put it on the top. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMyBr7IzWwwOr if you just wanted a bit around the edges, this is a great way to use busy paper as a frame. www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBy_IJjkI_o&t=1458sYou could also use it for matting, or use the bside as well, as a solid.

What pretty colors! As lg mentioned you could cut out the washi strips and use them like you would use washi tape or just for little strips of color in embellishment groups. But the B-side is so versatile - can't go wrong with that.

I agree with lg - use the b side with just a few accents from the A side. A strip or possibly a few of the shapes fussy cut. Its way too busy to use the entire 12x12.

I agree, B side for the win! lol. or I would just cut a strip of it, one way or the other, and use it like it's a regular multicolor 'stripe-ish' type pattern.
eta: I would never go to the trouble of cutting out pieces of the 'tape' to use as if they were tape... I don't even use the actual washi tape I own, lol. I might also cut a shape out of it? Maybe use a circle punch, or a frame punch, and use it as a layer in an embellishment cluster. Random patterns like this one are one of the reasons I'm typically a b-side & sketch scrapper.

I would cut a three inch strip of the "bandaid" side and use it across a page as a background for a title. The title would be bolder letter stickers on top of the "bandaid" strip.
For the base paper (8.5 x 11), I would use a muted polka a dot. Then I would mat my photos on a coordinating cardstock color.

I would use the paper as a background, and then use a piece of yardstick (probably white) that has been cut down to around 10x10 and laid on top of it and then proceed to make my layout as usual. You get the pattern on the edge of the layout without all the busyness of it.

I love this type of paper. It is the perfect paper to use as a 2 x 12 inch strip on a layout to pull the other papers in the layout together. Then I'll use it again with maybe a 1/4 inch mat for photos.

Not a fan of the paper, although the B side definitely is something I could use. I’m not a washi tape fan, though.
However, some card making friends showed me that when used as a mat that is mostly covered by other paper and/or embellishments, the splash of color and pattern that peeks out from beneath other layers can actually be cute, even if the pattern is one you don’t particularly like.

Oh oh oh! I saw a video for some event byMaggie Holmes or Paige Evans using paper like this! She fussy cut down the left side to trim just around the ends of the strips. Then left a width of about 4” and cut down the right side. Then she had photos and other elements cascading down. It looked fabulous! something like THIS but with the strips intact on the pp KWIM?

I would cut it in half or thirds and use it as a column on a page torn add pics, title, etc.

If I don't like or want to use the B side, I cut out the paper pattern. Either as strips or individual patterns.
I would cut out the color sections and layer them to accent a photo or draw attention. Even lay them out in a horizontal or vertical line maybe staggered a bit.
I have done that with circles, triangles, half triangles, hearts.

You could make a cluster for embellishments with some cut out color sections.

I buy patterned papers by the sheet & do not gravitate toward washi or the hand-drawn style, so would not purchase this pattern (&, if interested in the color on the reverse, would opt for Fresh Flowers from this collection because I prefer the x pattern). However, if I received this sheet by error, I would use the reverse side like any other small scale patterned paper.

Can you get your money back? I'm not drawn to this pattern so my first choice would be to not buy it and second choice would be to use the B side. But if you twisted my arm I would cut a strip of three rows and use it as a shelf (mentioned above) or a 12" band horizontally across the page. I might also cut a 5" vertical strip and put that toward one side of a cardstock background, add a border of something to the vertical or horizontal piece, and go from there.

If I owned a scan and cut I would use the tape side. It doesn't remind me of band-aids. I think of washi. I don't know how many times I would use all of those cut out images either. I do like it slightly better than the other side of the paper.

thats super cute. I would probably use a wide strip of it as part of a layered background. it's a bit much for my tastes for a full background but I likely would want to showcase it more than just as a photo matte.

I'd probably use it by putting an 8x8 solid paper in the center, so I just had a border of the washi tape pattern.
