Here is a sketch I found when I googled scrapbook sketches. A little early so AussieMeg and Chinagirl828 and anyone else across the International Date Line has it well in time for YOUR Saturday. It is from a blog post from a couple of years ago on 17 Turtles. The designer was Juliana Michaels. I liked it for the interesting diagonal lines and all the stars:
Here is my take on it. I flipped it horizontally and vertically, and substituted one 5x7 photo for the two on the sketch. I had only one sheet of the Authentique pp, so I cut it and used it on both pages, but I think I kept the overall design intact.
I hope you play with this sketch and I hope you have fun. Use it for one page or two. Tip it, turn it, use it in any way that inspires you. Please share your take(s) on it in this thread.

And for just a little more inspiration, I will pass on this page plan from The Scraproom "Ideas" gallery. Haven't tried this myself, but I love both sides separately and together. Have fun! (If you are on a team and counting points, feel free to claim this as a Sketchy Saturday sketch)

Ooooh, we're spoilt for choice today! Thanks for two fabulous sketches grammadee. I'm heading off to my mum's house this afternoon, so I will start playing now and hopefully finish at least one of them tomorrow.

Here is my layout for the first sketch. After doing Shimelle's classes, I feel like I should be tucking embellishments in and under everything! But I really pared this one back.

I printed the last two months of photos yesterday and these random autumn photos were perfect for the first sketch. I just need to add some journaling (once I work out what I want to say) on the transparency on the bottom left.

I actually did a layout in my new room. I love having a dedicated space. The photos are from my DD on her birthday. I really liked the sketch. Here is my take: 20220619_162906 by Mikk Lynn, on Flickr

I shrunk the sketch to a single 8.5x11 and I'm not sure I love the results. Maybe should have just picked one side or the other...oh well...

Don't know how I missed your yummy page, mikklynn. Must have been having a summer nap! Great colours, and I love the journaling card--and would LOVE a taste of one of those treats! Glad you are playing in your new room. Hope this is the start of many more fun scrappy hour and great pages.
I like how your angled Lego papers frame your photo block, Linda . And I am still amazed by all those LegoLand photos!
Awesome take on the sketch, scrappyrabbit . I will look at your LO more closely in the Gallery in a bit. But I wanted to say thanks for reminding me of that second sketch! Had forgotten about that one...

Thanks grammadee - I gave the bonus sketch a try - just the rightside and of course simplified for the smaller page

Great PL card for marshmallow roasting, Linda. I have some s'mores pic's to print tomorrow. I have some diecuts to use, and need to look for a card like that in my camping pp stash. I love how you can grab a 12x12 sketch and run with it for a different shape/size page.

Thanks grammadee - lots of practise with adapting 12x12...seems like the majority of sketches are that size and I've loved working with sketches since back when BH was doing them in Creative Keepsakes. Good luck with your s'mores page

scrappyrabbit - what a fun zoo page - love that animal paper! I gave this one another try - rotated it and adapted to 8.5x11 and a single page - sorry about the bad picture
