How does everyone feel about fussy cutting?
I definitely will do it but I don't go overboard on it. I have a short attention span- I don't want to spend more than an hour on a layout.
The Not Just For Boys kit examples have a lot of fussy cutting on them- more than I want to do. They look beautiful but so much cutting....
A lot of the more European style papers (like Mintay and Stamperia) don't come with diecuts, just a sheet of paper of things to fussy cut. I think Photoplay does this, too.
How do you feel about fussy cutting?

I don't love it, but have done it on occasion when there is a particular piece that just needs to be by itself as a die cut. I don't usually buy collections/kits so I rarely have anything that is meant specifically for fussy cutting, but I'll fussy cut elements from PP if it's needed for a LO and if I know I'm not going to use the whole sheet of PP as is. I have a pair of Cutter Bee scissors just for this purpose and that makes it a little less tedious...but still tedious nonetheless, LOL.

Not a fan of fussy cutting. I'll do it if I have to.
I usually won't purchase a product, if it means I have to fussy cut it. There's way to many other products available for purchase, that don't have to be fussy cut. When and if I do purchase something that has to be fussy cut, I really have to love love love it.

Not a fan of fussy cutting at all. I enjoy this hobby but do not have so much time on hand. So I look for easy stuff and that means no fussy cutting.

I don't enjoy fussy cutting, and I don't usually think the end result looks very professional (when I do it). I try to avoid it.

No fussy cutting for me. No matter if it's a basic shape, it always looks like I cut it with my feet.

Meh...I'll fussy cut once in a while but not too frequently.

I'm not very good at fussy cutting - I'll do it occasionally but not often

As a lefty fussy cutting is nearly impossible for me, it looks like a five year old did it.

My hands are a bit messed up or I would do it more. That's a big reason why I want a scan n' cut.

I do enjoy that fussy cutting is something I can do while listening to music, tv, or a murder podcast and I don't have to devote too much attention to the task. I find the repetition quite relaxing, especially after a busier day at work. Plus, I feel like I'm accomplishing something in my hobby, even if I'm not making a layout. I do worry that I am predisposing myself to arthritis, and I don't like that part at all

I'll do it from time to time. What I need to do is get back into using my Scan n Cut to do it for me!

I love it, I find it relaxing, as long as I don’t have so much I feel overwhelmed.

I really like it. That's what I did before I had any die-cutting machines (2001-2004). I still enjoy doing it.

If you want a more precise cut just draw a light pencil line to connect the openings.

No. While I understand the proper technique, I dislike detail/fussy cutting, am rarely satisfied with the end result, & don't buy supplies that require it (including connected/unsnipped dies! )

I don't mind it but I keep it reasonable - I cut out exactly how many flowers/items I need, and not more. I enjoy the frugality of it!

In general no, but on a rare occasion, a paper is just asking me to try. I have a scan n cut.

I will do it on occasion and use my beloved Fiskars micro tip scissors which I think makes it somewhat less tedious.
I watch a lot of Missy Whidden videos and she fussy cuts (off screen) a ton.

If you want a more precise cut just draw a light pencil line to connect the openings. I've tried doing that. if the mark is too dark, it's looks ugly when i erase it. if it's too light, it won't pick up. the inset cut seems to work best for me. sometimes i like a white border. sometimes, not.

Not if I can help it. Yet one more reason to get a scan & cut. I’m saving up for one, but it’s not on any priority list

Love to fussy cut. Another reason to procrastinate🤣.
Tape a piece of acetate to the front of the design to be cut. Join up the lines with a sharpie. Scan into your machine. Before cutting, remove the acetate. Should cut clean.

My fine motor skills are pretty lacking when it comes to cutting, so if I can avoid fussy-cutting, I will. This has made the Scan n' Cut a useful investment for me.

Now and then I find it relaxing. But, I use my Scan n Cut most often if I need to fussy cut.

I used to hate fussy cutting, but since I started using spring loaded scissors it's really easy. I still prefer using dies though.
