No, I don’t get it. I’m too stupid to understand why you are so invested in arguing with a single poster who doesn’t represent the majority of liberal posters. Explain to me your weird bordering-on-obsession fixation on arguing with one person who disagrees with most everybody on this thread, regardless of their political affiliation. It doesn’t make any sense at all. I don’t get the larger point you are trying to make. No. 🤣🤣🤣So, you got nothing.
There is no larger point beyond somehow thinking you are “sticking it to the libs” by ignoring the majority of them and arguing ad nauseum with one person. Understood very well even though I’m an idiot. 😘

Charges already downgraded. Poor Rudy disappointed that Fox and others aren't covering his ordeal.

I agree that no one should ever put their hands on another person and you can see by the way the person next to him rubs his back that it could have been harder than it looks, but he barely moved That's the first thing I noticed, the person rubbing his back, like it got smacked really good. And I did expect him to move more, but it didn't look like he moved much at all. He could have put his foot forward, and maybe it felt worse to him than it looked. The video doesn't really help his claim very much.

Charges downgraded today... Gill, who has no previous criminal history, had his charges downgraded to third-degree assault, third-degree menacing, and second-degree harassment over the caught-on-camera attack inside the supermarket. He was initially charged with second-degree assault involving a person over age 65. He was allowed to be released on his own recognizance. "It appears to be a tap on the back and not a slap,” Gill’s defense attorney, Susan Platis, had argued during his arraignment. “This is not criminal contact, it is very unlikely that the touch could have caused any injury. So to call this assault in the third, or even menacing, is a stretch.” www.rawstory.com/giuliani-alleged/#cxrecs_sYeah, that's the lawyer you've bolded, of course she's going to downplay it - that's her job. If it was merely a "tap on the back" then all charges would have been dropped. - third-degree assault - class A misdemeanor w/worst possibility of 1 year in prison (could also be probation, a fine, anger management or community service).
- third-degree menacing - a class B misdemeanor w/worst possibility of 3 months in jail and a $500 fine.
- second-degree harassment - also a class B misdemeanor w/worst possibility of 3 months in jail.
Nice list of actual charges for just a "tap on the back". I doubt if this happened to pretty much anyone else they would have pressed charges. I agree with those who say that touching someone in that way isn’t appropriate, but I think Rudy is blowing this way out of proportion. I can also understand the comments about other issues because Rudy had helped lead the country to where we are today and that is not a positive thing.

According to this report - abc7ny, it wasn't just physical contact. The person was also "swearing and ranting" as he edged around the fringe of the group. Feel how you want to feel about Giuliani but he is 78 years old and not too stable on his feet. It was forceful contact that put him off balance and you can see that in the video. Watch the people around him react - this wasn't friendly, it was a threatening situation. I can see as well as you can. It was a tap, not a slap, not a “forceful contact,” and it was aimed at the same guy who urged an already-charged-up mob to conduct “trial by combat” on 1/6/21. Now all of a sudden he’s a fragile flower? Who claims he stumbled and almost fell down from that “forceful contact”? Yeah, no. The guy shouldn’t have touched him and if they send him to jail for a few months, I’m not going to lose any sleep over it. But you and Rudy (and no doubt Fox News, too) are making a much bigger deal out of it than need be. A real man who wasn’t a drama queen whiner would have shrugged off the whole thing. And I’d be delighted to hear what your old pea name was.

These people that exaggerates a situation need to realize that the evidence is out there to prove otherwise. Any publicity is better than no publicity I suppose. Lets face it Giuliani himself is quite good at the ranting when he feels like it.

It's just plain stupid for them to have touched him at all while making that statement. The person got a minute's worth of satisfaction out of it, and now they're paying the price. And of course it will be spun to lump in everyone else who doesn't support the likes of Giuliani together as unable to control themselves, violent, etc., etc.
So, yeah, I can't stand Rudy, but the whole story annoys me. You don't win anyone over to your political beliefs by hitting/smacking/slapping/tapping old men in the grocery store.
