WEEKLY challenges
W-1: Sketchy Saturdays. Complete any of the posted Sketchy Saturday challenges for 5 points. Complete ANY THREE of them for a 20 point bonus. Meet TEN Sketchy Saturday Challenges during Quarter ONE for a BONUS of 100 points!
W-2: Project of the Week (POTW). Complete any of the posted POTW challenges for 10 points. Complete ANY THREE of them for a 20 point bonus. Meet TEN POTW Challenges during this quarter for a BONUS of 100 points!
W-3: Friday Date Nite: Dinner & a Movie! Each week we will go on a dinner and a movie scrapping/cardmaking date (your choice!} There will be a choice of two movies A or B (layout or card to be based on something from the movies), dinner options A or B (apps, entrees, desserts which may be equivalent to colors, sketch idea, embellishments, etc.) and movie snacks A or B (equivalent to titles, journaling, phrases, etc.). TEN points to complete either A or B movie, dinner, & snacks challenge combo. Bonus of 25 points if you complete them both for any week, or ANY TWO Date Nite challenges during the Quarter. Bonus of 100 points for completing ANY FOUR Date Nite challenges during the quarter.
MONTHLY challenges
M-1: Donna Challenge. donna was a Pea who passed away much too soon. We all remember her desire to complete her family scrapbooks at the end. To honour her, we credit photos, scrapped, pages completed and meeting scrapbooking goals. For the Donna challenge, earn
One point per photo scrapped.
Ten points per page created with each monthly theme.
Bonus of 25 points for meeting all three themes.
M-2: Other Crafts Challenge. As with any craft, earn TEN points for every hour spent crafting. When you finish a project of ten hours or more, give yourself a BONUS of ONE HUNDRED POINTS! Post your completed projects in the linked thread on NSBR.

azcrafty . One point per card + TEN points for completing the set. Plus a BONUS of TEN points for meeting each month’s special challenge.
M-5: Twelve Card Challenge posted by
Eddie-n-Harley . One point per card, TWENTY points per dozen cards created in any one month. BONUS of TEN points per dozen if you meet each month’s theme.
BONUS of FIFTY points for completing ALL THREE monthly challenges of either of these. (So at least one set of sheetload of cards for each of the three months, OR at least one dozen cards per month)
Regular challenges:R-1: CRAFTING TIME. Earn TEN points for every hour you spend working on ANY craft: needlework, scrapbooking, card making, sewing, art journaling, creating with paint or wood or any other artistic activity. If you spend less than an hour, or go over an hour total, then add one point for every ten minutes of the partial hour spent.
R-2: CRAFTING TOGETHER. Earn TEN points for every hour you spend crafting with others. This could be IRL or through video chats. This is IN ADDITION to the hour you earn just for spending time crafting that hour.

Quarter THREE Challenges:
PRODUCTS:
P-1: Splish splash! Splatter on some ink or paint.
P-2: Make it a Thicker: Use chipboard or thickers OR made your own by layering die cuts to make it more dimensional!
P-3: All those pretty patterns: Use Patterned paper: one point for each different pattern on your layout or project.
P-4: Solids too! One point for each different color of cardstock used in your layout or project.
P-5: Pocket Ace - 1 point for each journal card / pocket card used on your project. Take an extra 3 points if it used as an interactive element, such as a hidden journaling/sentiment.
P-6: Die Cuts - 1 point for each die cut used on your project.
P-7: nuvo drops (or similar) -1 point per colour per project
P-8: scraps - 1 point per scrap used per project. If you're using multiple scraps of the same PP and/or same cardstock colour, only count 1 per project. So if I pull out three identical scraps and use them, 1 point. If I pull out 3 different scraps and use them, 3 points
P-9: PRODUCTS - RING A DING BLING - 1 PT FOR EACH RHINESTONE, PEARL, CRYSTAL, BRAD, ENAMEL DOT (OR SIMILAR) USED ON PROJECT
P-10: Use me, use me! 5 points for each project posted where a main element of the project (stamp set, scrapbook kit, paper collection, embossing folder, die set, etc) has been in your stash for longer than 6 months and you have never used it. 10 points if it has been in your stash longer than 1 year.
P-11: Wishy Washy: 1 point for using washy tape on your project. Add an additional point for each different tape used. And 5 more points if you finished off a roll.
P-12: No patterns please! Make a project with Cardstock only. No patterned paper!
P-13: Whose got the button? 1 point for each button on your project-any kind: regular button, wooden, sticker, etc
P-14: Tag You're It - Take a point for each tag on your project. Take a bonus point of you make or decorate the tag yourself.
P-15: Fibers, twine & threads - one point per color used.
SHAPES/ICONS
S/I-1: Getting the gears! One point for every gear on your project. They can be metal or wood or cs or diecuts. Just one point per piece of pp with gears.
S/I-2: Four sides? One point for each square or rectangle in your project. For two points make it a quadrilateral shape . . . for the geometry nerds out there!
S/I-3: Travel + Leisure - 1 point per travel icon used on your project. Patterned paper counts as 1 point per pattern.
S/I-4: Animal Magnetism - 1 point for EACH animal icon or animal pattern used in your project. Patterned paper counts as 1 point per pattern.
S/I-5: Melody Maker - 1 point per music related icon used on your project. Patterned paper counts as 1 point per pattern.
S/I-6: Rainbow Bright - 1 point per rainbow icon used on your project. Patterned paper counts as 1 point per pattern.
S/I-7: Get Buzzed - 1 point per coffee related icon used on your project. Patterned paper counts as 1 point per pattern.
S/I-8: FLOWER POWER - 1 PT FOR EACH FLOWER USED ON PROJECT - 1 PT IF IT IS FLORAL PATTERN PAPPER
S/I-9: Star Bright- use stars on your project. One point per star. Count just one point for star paper.
S/I-10: Going round and round - 1 point per round item (plain circles, but also doilies, sunshines etc. count) bigger than 1"
S/I-11: Balloons - Use balloon icons or patterned paper on your project. This includes party balloons or hot air balloons. One point per balloon, patterned paper counts as one point. Take another point if your photo has balloons in it.
S/I-12: Hearts - one point per heart, patterned paper only earns one point
S/I-13: Clouds - one point per cloud, patterned paper only earns one point
S/I-14: I put a hex on you: 1 point for using a hexagon shape on your project. Additional 1 point for each additional hex.
COLOURS/MOODBOARDS
C/M-1: Colourful Inky Fingers - 1 point for each color of ink used on your project.
C/M-2: Happy Halloween! - 1 point per project that uses ONLY Halloween-ish colors (orange, black, purple, green, aqua). Take an extra 3 points if you're a purist and use ONLY orange and black. Okay to include neutrals & metallics!
C/M-3: Happy Christmas! - 1 point per project that uses ONLY christmas-y colors (red, green, aqua, pink). Take an extra 3 points if you're a purist and use ONLY red and green. Okay to include neutrals & metallics!
C/M-4: Primary colours - red/yellow/blue - neutrals are fine
C/M-5: Monochromatic - use only ONE colour (in its different shades) - including neutrals is fine
C/M-6: RAZZLE DAZZLE - 1 PT FOR EACH COLOR OF GLITTER PAPER, METALIC PAPER, FOIL PAPER 2 PT FOR A FOILED /SENTIMENT, 3 PT FOR A FOILED DIE CUT/PUNCH
C/M-7: NOT Snow White. 5 points for each project you post that does not show any of the color WHITE. It can be hidden, but no white showing. There's no white, get it? This was my challenge on the 2peas stamping board.
C/M-8: Inspiration: Use this page by Nina Straume over at CSI (Color Stories Inspiration) as a jumping off point for your own project. Use the colours, the icons or the design.
TECHNIQUES
T-1: Play in the dirt: Ink those edges!
T-2: Stamp It! Use a stamped image for a point, if using an alphabet stamp set, each letter is worth a point.
T-3: Card makers: No stamps needed: 1 point for each card made using no ink, or stamps. Add an additional 5 points if you make 6 or more
T-4: How many layers? One point for each layer.
T-5: Stencil Art - 1 point for each stencil used on your project.
T-6: Cuts or Files. One point for each die or cut file you use on your project. 2pts if you've not used it in the past year (or ever). Take an extra 5 points if you backed the die cut with patterned paper - this is hard work!
T-7: LET IT FLOW - 1 PT FOR EACH WATER COLOR OR WATER ACTIVATED COLOR MEADIUM USED TO COLOR ON YOUR PROJECT
T-8: Punch it good! 1 Point for a project that includes using a border punch. 1 additional point for each differ border punch you use on the same project. A border die qualifies also.
T-9: A Stitch In Time-use hand, machine, pen or faux stitching on your project. One point per type of stitching used.
T-10: Emboss it! 5 points for using an embossing folder on your project. Remember to mist the paper for a deeper emboss. You can combine this with the Use me Use me challenge.
T-11: Snip and Clip - fussy cutting - 1 point per item
T-12: Worn and loved - distress or tear an edge - 1 point per edge
T-13: Doodle-do - Doodle or hand draw elements, borders or titles on your page.
T-14: Tuck It In - Make a cluster where you tuck embellishments under and over your photos, mats, and blocks.
WORDS/Titles
W/T-1: Go BIG or Go HOME! One point for a BIG title (1/3 to 1/2 your page). One point for the word HOME in your title. FIVE points if you do both!
W/T-2: Bigger the better! Make your title the focal point of the layout, or your greeting the focal point of your card, nice and big!
W/T-3: journalling - use your words. 1pt for 5-25 words, 2pts for 25-50 words, 3pts for 50-100 words, 4 points for 100-150, and 5 points for 151+ Take a bonus point for a non-photo layout
W/T-4: Monthly letters! One point for using each of the letters in JULY, AUGUST, &/or SEPTEMBER in your title. FIVE points bonus if the whole name of the month appears in your title.
W/T-5 Makin' a LIST. 1 point for journaling in list format
W/T-6: Fontify - Take one point for each font or letter / sticker style in your title.
THEMES
Th-1 Back to school. One point for any school themed project. An extra point if your title is BACK TO SCHOOL.
Th-2: Time to Travel! 5 points for any layout that includes photos NOT taken in your home town.
Th-3: Pet Love - 1 point for each pet themed project.
Th-4: My name is... 5 points for a pet theme project that uses one of their nicknames as the title. Like if your pet's name is Bear, but you also call him/her Honey Bear.
Th-5: Home Sweet Home - 1 point for each project about things found in a typical home - think furniture, fixtures, decor, etc.
Th-6: Self Care - 1 point for each self care themed project.
Th-7: Summer Activities - 1 point for each summer activities themed project - think county fair, community events/fairs/festivals.
Th-8: Christmas in July - 1 point for each christmas themed project.
Th-9: Summer of Halloween - 1 point for each Halloween themed project.
Th-10: FOOD FEST - 1 PT FOR EACH LAYOUT ABOUT FOOD, OR CARD WITH FOOD IMAGERY
Th-11: Scenic Route: 5 points for a project using photos of beautiful scenery.
Th-12: Living the Magic. 1 point for any amusement/theme park visit
Th-13: Happy Birthday! 1 point for birthday themed layout or card
Th-14: Old Photos - Dig into your stash of old photos and get them scrapped. Take one point for each decade in the age of the photo eg. If the photo is 20 years old take 2 points, if it is 40 years old take 4 points etc.
NUMBERS/SIZES:
N/S-1: Lucky Numbers 7, 8, 9! When you place EXACTLY 7 of any element on a project, grab 7 points. If there are EXACTLY 8 elements, grab 8 points. If there are nine, grab 9 points. If you have 7 of one element and 8 of a different element, etc, you can add them all up! Lucky you!
N/S-2: Good ol' 4x6's! Photo sizes: one point for each 4"x 6", which if your are playing along with Scrapbook Generation's theme you will have ten weeks with 10 sketches to work with.
N/S-3: By the Numbers - 1 point for each number included on your project. Take an extra 2 points if it's included in your Title or Sentiment.
N/S-4: SIZE MATTERS - 6 PTS 12 X 12, 5 PTS 8.5 X 11, 4 PTS 8 X 8, 3 PTS 6 X 8, 2 PTS 5.5 X 4.25, 1 PT 3.5 X 2.5
N/S-5: Divide in TWO - have a distinctive line bisecting your layout or card - horizontal, vertical or diagonal - doesn't have to be divded in half, can be 1/4, 1/3...
N/S-6: Enlarged - Take a point for each photo larger than 6x4 on your page.
N/S-7: ONE is the magic number! Use ONE sheet of patterned paper (parts of both sides, if you like, but just one sheet), ONE photo, and ONE sheet of cs for a scrapbook page. You may add ONE diecut or other embellishment, and ONE colour sticker title letters, but let's keep it Clean and Simple. TEN POINTS. Card makers, make this a ONE layer card, using ONE stamp set and ONE colour ink.
N/S-8 MEGA CHALLENGE: Without the “Other” category, we have over 75 challenges to play with. During the third quarter, complete at least TWENTY (20) of them for a bonus of FIFTY POINTS. If you can meet at least FIFTY (50) of them, claim a BONUS of TWO HUNDRED POINTS! These challenges do not have to be met all on one project; just all of them met and claimed over the quarter.
RECIPES:
Re-1: Third Quarter Throw down: 10 points
1. Quarterly Quads - use some sort of grid of 4 on your page - whether it be a division of your entire page, or just your photo block or an embellishment grid of
4 items.
2. Jumping July - scrap action photos
3. Alliterative August - use a title or word strip that uses alliteration
4. Stash-busting September - use 2 papers AND stickers or ephemera that are over 5 years old
Re-2: 1-2-3-GO! - use all 3 ingredients below and claim 5 points for completing the recipe!
1x color (monochromatic)
2x photos for a single layout (4x for a double layout) -OR- 2 focal images (if doing a card)
3x paper layers (cardstock or patterned paper)
Re-3: Ocean Mist - use all 3 ingredients below and claim 5 points for completing the recipe!
1. green bling (enamel dots, rhinestone, pearls, etc.
2. blue ink (blended, misted, colored, splashed, painted, etc.)
3. gray layer (cardstock or patterned paper)
Re:4: Fruit Punch - use all 3 ingredients below and claim 5 points for completing the recipe!
1. Orange Crush - use an orange piece of ephemera (die cut/sticker/embellishment)
2. Pineapple Slushy - use yellow twine, ribbon, fabric or another fibrous material
3. Raspberry Fizz - use pink or purple washi tape
OTHER:
O-1: Show the love! One point for every comment on another pea's shared creation. Comment in the Share thread, in the Gallery (or elsewhere on Flickr) or anywhere on the 2Peas boards that the work is shared.
O-2: Already kitted? Use up those page kits from convention past, classes, that you never finished, and so on. Get photos and journaling on the page!
O-3: Frozen Peas in the summer! take 5 points for each day your are frozen, spending no money on scrappy supplies. Bonus Double your frozen points for any month you can keep the freeze on!
O-4: SUMMER SPLURGE - 1 PT FOR EACH DOLLAR SPENT ON CRAFTY GOODNESS
O-5: Sending Smiles - 5 points for each card mailed or donated - can be hand made or store bought!
O-6: Crafting not Curating! use your collection kits - take 1 pt every time you use one on a layout, take an additional point if it's brand new and the first use, and take 5 points if you kill it (let's define that as no papers left other than scraps)
O-7: Video Junkie. 1 point for each crafty video watched.
O-8: Make it again! 5 points for taking a card or page you made more than 5 years ago and remake the updated version. Styles should be similar, but does not have to look exactly alike. Shows us both projects.
O-9: Classwork - 5 points per card or layout finished for a class or event, current or past!
O-10: Kits for others- 5 points for putting together a card kit or layout kit for others to make
O-11: Recycle those old cards- 5 points to recycle, old cards that you received, no easy-peasy counting please, you can earn extra points if you add extra embellishments, 1 point per different embellishments
O-12: Copy Cat - Scraplift a layout you've seen somewhere on-line for one point. Take a bonus point for linking the original layout. Take another bonus point if you scraplift a Pea.
