I just came across an old paperback novel called Cut, Crop, and Die by Joanna Campbell-Slan (A Kiki Lowenstein Scrap-N-Craft Mystery) and was wondering if any one else had read these?
It was published in 2009 and seems to be contemporary to that moment in scrap history. While I've only skimmed the first chapter it opens during a crop and is chock-full of details like make-and-takes, local scrapbook stores, cropper hoppers, magazine design teams and crop drama. It was such a blast from the past and I imagine these books would appeal to many of you.
So have any of you read this series? Do you remember scrapbooking popping up in any other novels?

I met her! She came to a scrapbook store in S Florida (Everything Scrapbook and Stamps) back in the day.
LOL, that's also the same store that held a TH class the I attended. 👍

I just downloaded Paper, Scissors, Death on Kindle Unlimited. It’s the first book in the Kiki Lowenstein series.

I'll have to re-investigate this series. I remember reading one or two of the books. Had no idea there were 16!
I seem to remember some of those stories being made in to Hallmark-esque movies? Seems I remember Alison Sweeny as leading lady.

I will check out the other authors listed here - I like 'cosy' mysteries for summer vacation reading! I just depends if I can get them on kindle - not much chance of finding them in the library here!

I read a couple of those books back in the day. The pastor at the church I attended at the time gave me one. He was from Arizona and went to high school with the author.

Not crafting, but I read all of the "Cat Who ..." series by Lilian Jackson Braun. Stories of 2 Siamese cats in the town of Pickax, in Moose County, MI.

Than if you already have a card just sign up.

I met Joanna Campbell-Slan when she did a book signing at a scrapbook convention. She was sponsored by the LSS where I worked. I have read a few of her books. I used to read a lot of murder mysteries, but not so much anymore.
Scrapbooking, tea shops, and other small business themed mysteries were quite the rage for awhile. They might still be. None of those types of mysteries (scrapbook, bake shop, etc.,) that I read were books that I particularly wanted to read again.
