For those who incorporate stamping into scrapping (esp 12x12 layouts), what size stamp positioner do you prefer?

I own a regular and a mini. I voted regular because min has an open edge so you can still use a larger piece of paper than what directly fits into the stamp positioner. That being said, I almost never stamp directly on the layout - I would be stamping to cut out, or on a tag or other element that would the go onto the page.

Same as kitbop. I have the Tonic Studios stamp platform and never stamp directly on a large piece of paper. It is either a 3x4 card for pocket page, a tag, a smaller piece of paper I will use as an embellishment on a 9x12 layout, on a card I card base.
I prefer a platform as I can make sure the alignment is correct before I stamp. So when making multiple stamp images, everything is eight where it needs to be.

If you use the regular size, which has a 6x8 opening, you can use it directly on 12x12 paper. You just stack up some 6x8 paper or make your own thick foam pad so that it becomes level with the plastic lip. You can stamp, flip the paper and rearrange the stamp and then stamp again.
Or you can find Tim Holt's stamp platform, which is a better option.

I got the Stamparatus because I liked the name. It works great.

Thanks for your responses. I now have all three sizes of the WRMK Advanced Precision Press, after recently purchasing the 12x12 version for the ability to stamp anywhere on the layout. Surprisingly, I use the mini positioner most since I frequently reach for it instead of blocks to quickly stamp a label, icon, word/phrase, letters, etc. I don't use photopolymer stamps often enough (since I prefer wood mounted rubber stamps & exclusively incorporate stamping into scrapping, no cardmaking) to need all three positioners, but am wondering whether I would use the 12x12 version enough to justify its larger footprint & replace the regular size. Thoughts?

I only stamp directly on my layout if I am stamping my background, which I usually only do if I can’t find a paper in my stash to go with my photos. So mostly I use the Tim Holtz mini, and am stamping embellishments. If I am adding something bigger, I’ll use the regular sized one. If I want to do multi stamping directly on my layout, I’ll use my Stamparatus, since it has multiple plates. If I had to be limited to one, I’d pick the Stamparatus, since it has multiple plates for layered stamping.

I ended up going with the 12x12 because I did want to do background stamping and I have some really large stamps (Carabelle Studios XXL stamps) that are almost 12" in one direction or the other. I have used a large stamping block with these, but wanted to make better use of the stamps so I bought the big platform. It was expensive, but I don't have too much trouble storing it as I keep it upright with my score board.

Like you, I use a mini positioner most frequently for a quick label, tab, tag, etc. Thanks for a reminder the 12x12 size would allow me to create my own stamped background with the ability to reink/restamp as needed to achieve crisp/dark images. I ended up going with the 12x12 because I did want to do background stamping and I have some really large stamps (Carabelle Studios XXL stamps) that are almost 12" in one direction or the other. It was expensive, but I don't have too much trouble storing it as I keep it upright with my score board. This was also my reason for purchasing it. I have only a handful of background stamps, no larger than 6x6, & rarely used. The 12x12 positioner would enable me to stamp anywhere on the page & reink/restamp as necessary in hopes that I would actually use my backgrounds. It seems the most versatile size, since it can accommodate every size stamp that can fit on a 12x12 layout!
