I thought of this one when someone wrote they didn't like doing zoo or sports photos.
I love both. I could make zoo layouts all day. I just love animals and nature and I have years of cute kids at zoo photos. I like any kind of nature layout, actually. I gravitate towards papers I can use for those. The forest and flowers make me so happy.
I also like sports photos. They are just a lot of fun. I only have one nephew who is sporty so it is a treat to do his layouts.
I also like doing music layouts. Not so much the kids on the stage playing but kids with instruments or live show photos? So much fun to scrap.
I also really enjoy doing photos of my friends at various breweries and restaurants. I love to get out the beer paper.
And my last favorite are beach photos. There is just such a variety of beach lines to use- you can make layouts that are pastel and beachy, nautical, cute critters, etc. So many choices and I love the memories that go with those photos.
And not one of those has a rust colored couch in them.
What are your favorite photos/events to scrap?

I love flower photos and kitties and the zoo (except sometimes the zoo can be overwhelming because 3-5 people each with a dslr PLUS phones = way too many pics) and individual photos with no story just a lovely photo and ....
edited - and beaches and nature and ...

Water layouts - beach, pool, river, splash pad - those are easy and fun. My daughter as a toddler is easy. My nieces and nephews are easy too, even my thirteen year old nephew.
I wish I could say Disney but the act of sorting through all the photos to pick the best automatically kick it out of the easy category.

My favorite are vacations. I'm usually doing multiple layouts (most of the time an entire book) and I love highlighting my favorite vacation memories.
I like that I typically use multiple photos on the layouts and that all of the layouts coordinate for the most part so I can have all those coordinating supplies out for multiple layouts.
I also like including ephemera and little things I pick up while on vacations that I can incorporate into my layouts.

My favorites are outdoor photos of my grandkids, water play photos, and Halloween.

Vacation and dogs and kids. Just "having fun" photos, not "event" photos. I need to remember this.

I love scrapping vacations, too. Especially if I’m going to a crop. It makes it easier for me to pack: vacation photos, ephemera, travel paper and embellishments.

Most fun is definitely Halloween, birthday, and Christmas. Love having fun with all of the embellishments for Halloween and Christmas.
I pretty much enjoy scrapping it all.
And what may be odd to some, I do enjoy scrapping everyday things my kids do that is just...I guess mundane stuff for others. I took photos of my DS making muffins. He can't eat them, but he sure does enjoy baking. I also have photos I need to scrap of him doing laundry and washing his sippy cups and some other hand wash only dishes. I also took photos of him reading books and scrapped those. His reading really took off during the pandemic and he is now at a 4th grade level (ds is 16 with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, medical disabilities and Autism).

Nature (hikes, day at the beach), vacation, or portrait style pictures of people are easiest to work with. I love portrait mode on my iPhone for this.

I love scrapbooking travel and outdoor photos. I sometimes struggle with people and celebration photos.

I like doing any obvious theme of photos so school, zoo, holidays, pool... The photos come together really easily with all that theme product to easily tell the story.
Of all the themes I think I enjoy picnics, snow, pool and beach.

I love to love my people so I love scrapping portraits/selfies/candids of them & telling a story that really shows off their personality or what they're currently into or up to. I enjoy Project Life for the same reason -- the catch-all of the stories of the week that don't really need a whole page but are a teeny-tiny glimpse into the hearts & souls of my people.

My answers are based on "pre-pandemic times".
Easiest: Different random events. Concerts, night out with friends, School play, travel, kid ball game, etc... Hardest: Multiple birthday gatherings a year.

I'm not a theme scrapper, so don't categorize/view photos through that lens. The most fun photos for me to scrap are well composed with good lighting, etc., which ironically I often find the most difficult/time consuming to scrap because I want to do them justice. Conversely, the easiest/quickest to scrap are sometimes the lesser quality photos due to lack of self-imposed pressure.

I enjoy scrapping single photos, so I can enlarge the photo and then use lots of different patterned papers and embellishments. I don't feel tied in to using themed papers. I especially like scrapping photos of my daughter so I can use lots of flowers! I find it harder to scrap my son, and boys in general, because I always struggle with what elements to use. Stars and........ what?
I like scrapping beach photos, and brunch or eating out photos. Birthday photos too.

My favourite photos to scrap are those I either took myself or have had sent to me complete with a story to go with them. I am a story teller, and I love the pic's that show interaction between people, the joy of success, the agony of defeat, something I can weave a story around.
If I receive the pic's from others, and don't have a story for a particular sequence, I like to look at design elements, colours. I had fun working with hiking pic's and Hawaii vacation photos from my ds's family because the scenery was so beautiful and the colours so easy to work with. I have a set of pic's framed in a cruise ship porthole that I want to scrap soon b/c they intrigue me, figuring out how to scrap all those circles.
Unless they are extremely good photos, I think that posed photos are the hardest for me to scrap. Especially if I have a group of them to do at once.

I love scrapping the smaller moments with my kids. Whether they are playing with Legos or chalk, those pages come together so easily.
I also enjoy scrapbooking nerdy things, like the most recent lunar eclipse or when the newest Rover landed on Mars. The NEOWISE comet is also a favorite page of mine.
Larger trips can easily become overwhelming because of how many photos are taken.

Hardest: Multiple birthday gatherings a year. This reminds me, I have a photo of a birthday gathering and I have no idea whose birthday it is- I can't read the cake. There is no date on the photo. It is a bunch of us with party hats gathered around a chocolate cake. It could be for any one of us. So I scrapped it with ? as the title. And then journaled about how all of our birthdays look the same. I forgot- my most favorite thing to scrap is my nephews. I am single with no kids so I love to wave my "you don't need kids to scrap" flag. So I scrap a lot of things that aren't kids. But in reality my favorite thing to scrap is kids.

I love scrapbooking Disney Trash Cans. I can always do a layout with a Disney Trash Can on it. 🤣
I also love scrapbooking outdoors photos even though I’m not terribly outdoorsy.

Day trip and vacation photos. Haven't had a vacation in a decade+, but do try to make it a priority to take the kids to fun daytrips nearby. Zoo, museum, etc, all good. All easily themed.

The easiest and most fun for me is when I get that perfect shot. I also love when there is a professional photographer at our grandson's hockey game. One dad is amazing.

For me it’s the most recent photos, usually it doesn’t matter the event or occasion. I am not a chronological scrapper and really enjoy printing new photos and getting them scrapped, especially if I have the perfect papers for the photos!
