So I get keloid scars. I have one on my arm and had several on my face from the auto accident I was in. The ones on my face were treated with dermabrasion and steroid injections. I never treated the one on my arm, was a whimp because holy hell those steroid injections hurt!
Well I have one on my breast following the lumpectomy.
It is a year and 4 months old and the itching is driving me batty.
Is there a topical cream that helps???
I could care less about what the scar looks like. I have many that are visual, so I don't care.
But the itchy stinginess needs to go away, and I am not doing injections on it.
So what did you use?

have you tried vitamin E cream on the scars? Or maybe Egyptian Magic? I recently bought some of that and I'm blown away by how well it works on a variety of skin issues. I didn't belive the hype but Costco had some at a reasonable price so I tried it. I think it could help. The website is www.egyptianmagic.com. But you can get it from a lot of online sites , just google it.

I have a back surgery scar (also keloid) that gets itchy every now and then and I use Aveeno hydrocortisone cream for the itch, or an ice gel pack helps numb the area.

I'm not sure if it's the same thing, but when my c sect scar was healed, the dr told me to massage the scar to break up scar tissue and to help with the pulling sensation.

I have keloids and have not found anything that helps aside from the injections. But I'm with you, boy do they hurt!!! And they gave me a giant rash that covered half my body. All of that plus my lack of health insurance for the last 8 years means I still have about 5 untreated keloids. All I can really tell you is don't use Mederma. I thought that would be a great treatment and so I splurged and bought a tube. I tried it on my largest scar first and it burned and made it itch 10x as much as normal. I kept using it for a few days in hopes that the burning and itching meant it was working. I gave up after that though when I could see the scar getting larger and more red.
