I bought a new bike yesterday. I haven't bought a new bike since THE NINETIES. To be fair, my 1990's bike has been regularly serviced and it's a tank. Now I have a lighter, sleeker, hybrid/fitness bike. It's a thing of beauty.

My 14 year old dgc started a business during Covid. The business is going well and I will be helping with production. Going so well that a business number is now needed so that supplies can be purchased without paying HST.
Will be filing first CRA submission next year. Also looking into another product line that will work very well with what is being offered right now. Non-tech business, hobby related.
They are responsible, hard working and very reliable, more so than some young adults that I know.
Edited to add that NO LINK will be provided as the child is a minor and at the request of parents.

My daughter has been looking for a 'professional level job' in NYC since last summer; moved there in August to make it more likely that she could find something...and, she finally did! She will be teaching history in a magnet school there. She is very excited.

I love all this good news. I don’t have anything monumental to add.
I did manage to work all of my scheduled hours at work this week for the first time in a month after dealing with a skin issue of unknowns origin and being miserable for almost three weeks.

I sprained my wrist rollerskating but was able to go scrapbook and finish an album I was working on so feeling a sense of accomplishment.
We found a Handyman to make some small house repairs our HOA was on us about. What a relief!

DH got a new job title at work that comes with just a few more responsibilities but a nice little bump up in pay. His immediate boss wants to make him a senior partner in the next five years.

DH and I both made lists at the beginning of summer vacation (both teachers) and we knocked several things off it this week including, ordering new flooring for our home, getting oldest DS’s football physical, getting my car inspected and a new tag for it.
Next week I hope to clean out my closet and dresser drawers. It’s nice to get some things done!

Our DD made it safely to Belgium (from the US) with no delays or issues. We spent a few days in Amsterdam and just got back from Normandy last night. Tomorrow is a Lie-In day!
