I was talking to my dd on the phone this evening, absent mindedly fooling around one handed with a navy blue Nuvo ink brush. I hadn't used it for awhile, and had forgotten how to take the cap off. In the end it DID come off, but by then I had squeezed the barrel, and---blue ink all over my hands and my shirt. As luck would have it, it is a blue shirt. And an old one. (I have it soaking in the sink right now.) But who DOES stuff like that?

That's totally something I would have done. In fact just last weekend I had an incident with some liquid Martha Stewart glue. It seemed to be plugged so I was trying to unclog it with a thumbtack. I thought I had it so I gave the bottle a big squeeze. Well, that caused the top to sort of detach from the bottle and I got HUGE puddle of glue all over my pants. They were not salvageable.

OOOOOPS!!! 😫. You didn't get any on the carpet did you? Will it come out of the shirt?
I could say "Thank goodness I'm a digital scrapper, that would never happen to me" but last year I dropped a glass jar on my MacBook and it cost me $800 to get fixed, and I couldn't scrap for a while, so.......

All the time! In fact, I just ruined a LO (did not post here because I felt dumb, but now I will) by knocking over a coffee mug. I like to drink coffee and I always think I will be so careful, and of course I knocked it over right on my LO. Ruined, have to reprint those pics. So dumb, and all it would take is to use a travel mug instead of my fave mug.

I was just stamping with some blue ink, and then rubbed my dry lips..and had to go look and see if I ended up with blue ink on my face.
Can you rub blue ink all over the shirt and make a tie dye effect?

I’m sorry this happened to you, but I think everyone here has probably done something just as thoughtless at one time or another. If not, our turn is coming. It’s human nature to make mistakes.
I hope you are able to salvage your shirt, but if not, consider it an excuse to get a new, cute one!

I did that at a large crop. The top flew about 4 tables away and scared the crap out of the lady it landed on, who screamed and jumped up and knocked over a bunch of stuff from another person's table behind her. That was super embarrassing and for a split second I thought about just hiding the bottle and feigning ignorance.

That's how I get "old shirts", that I should have worn when I got another new old shirt.

I love you guys! Feels good not to be alone... OOOOOPS!!! 😫. You didn't get any on the carpet did you? None on the carpet. But it would serve me right if I did. My oldest dgd, when she was 4 yrs old, spilled black ink on the carpet. I was pretty upset, and *might* have expressed it a bit loudly. She is twenty now, and coming here next week. She would LOVE to see some ink spilled on the carpet by me I did that at a large crop. The top flew about 4 tables away and scared the crap out of the lady it landed on, who screamed and jumped up and knocked over a bunch of stuff from another person's table behind her. That was super embarrassing and for a split second I thought about just hiding the bottle and feigning ignorance. That played in my head like a National Lampoon Scrapping Adventure. Sorry, but I almost had another mishap in here by spitting out my coffee... All the time! In fact, I just ruined a LO (did not post here because I felt dumb, but now I will) by knocking over a coffee mug. I like to drink coffee and I always think I will be so careful, and of course I knocked it over right on my LO. Ruined, have to reprint those pics. Isn't it funny how much effort some of us will go to to get that messy look on a page, yet a real mess is a disaster? So sorry about your spoiled photos. At least you could reprint them. I always have a cup of coffee nearby, and this is something that could happen any day to me, too. Splashed milk and cereal on my ipad the other day, but not coffee on a page lately.

Filling my BLACK copic marker last night. Try to squirt it in - miss the opening. Try again - miss the opening. TAke off my glasses and get in close, drip drip drip drip fill it up...overfill it. Now I have black alcohol ink oozing out of my pen everywhere. I've used alcohol wipes, but my hands are still grey-splotchy today. You are so not alone!

"who does that?" Count me in too. It's not really fun until you have a mishap or two! My last incident resulted in me now having a new "hair dyeing" shirt.

Back when Nuvo first came out the first bottle exploded all over my layout. Nuvo drops have a reputation for exploding.
Now if you had deleted all your photos off your phone and had no back up or prints, that would be curse worthy!

No more than me with my yellow Nuvo Drops. At least you didn’t do it while filming a live video! 😂 My Nuvo "Incident" youtu.be/JF5nUTfUxbE

I feel your pain. Last night, I completed a layout, took some photos and then promptly spilled red watercolor all over it.
I think these moments happen to us all. And even though I hate that it happened, it makes me feel a scrappy camaraderie with you all.

I squeezed a plugged Nuvo drops bottle really hard and ended up with half a bottle of them in a puddle on my card. Then there was the time I spilled half a container of embossing powder all over my shirt, my pants, and the carpet.
