HI, long time no post. I see that Amazon has the JOY for $99 today....I have been looking at them, very intrigued by it. I owned the Baby Cricut Bug many years ago, have a Cake Cricut , and a large Cricut Expression, in addition to the Cameo.....I like the size of the JOY for taking to crops and such, and do 95% scrapbooking , hardly no cards. I would use it for small cuts and mainly titles/words. Sell me on this if you have one and thank you.

That's so weird! I love my Cricut, and would like the Joy but cannot find it at all on Amazon for Prime Day, only thing I see is the 149 bundle. I was thinking I might grab one.

It was listed under the Prime Day deals this morning, if it’s not there now, it must have sold out

I bought one to take to crops. It's been great for that.

When I got back to the Amazon site, it was gone...I just did the $149 bundle....I know I will use it all....... Also got the cutest tidy little grey bag to put it all in, as all my other crop totes are solid black, so the grey will go well with them.

I just bought the bundle from Costco 2 weeks ago. It’s $149 and comes with the tools, and a bunch of sample stuff. I have a G1 scan n cut, but have no space to use it. I have never used a Cricut or design space so I need to start educating myself. Link below to the Costco bundle. www.costco.com/cricut-joy-bundle.product.100833596.html

I got one this past weekend at Joann for $99. It was just the machine, no bundle with fun extras.

The Joy is 100% worth it. It is small and makes good sized cuts when you don’t want to haul out your bigger machine. Easy to take with you to crops or out of town. If it isn’t on Amazon still…it. Is currently sale for $99 at JoAnn’s (including their website)
I use my Joy more than my Explore Air

I have a SIL Cameo and a Cricut Joy. I love the Cricut Joy machine. It's small and easily portable to crops. It (used to) work with my Iphone, Ipad or laptop. "Used to" is where my frustration currently lies. Cricut as a Company I'm not happy with. I have had the machine for 1 year. Due to upgrades with Cricut Design Space the Joy will ONLY work with my Iphone. My Ipad, Laptop and home PC are all no longer compatible as of last weeks Design Space update. My SIL Cameo is the original #1. The laptop that I use is 20 years old. I can still update my SIL Software without issue and use my Cameo. I refuse to purchase new electronics just to use my Joy. I only with SIL would design a mobile app and make a machine just as small as the Joy. While the SIL Portrait isn't as small as the Joy, I will not give my money to Cricut ever again. It will be replaced with a Portrait on my next go around.

I can't afford to upgrade my tech to use it, and while I have an iphone, I honestly don't think I can create using it. It reminds me of my Cricut Gypsy long ago, (totally inappropriate naming btw now.org/blog/the-g-word-isnt-for-you-how-gypsy-erases-romani-women/) I hated trying to craft on that thing, it was too small. I watched a bunch of videos, and people were in Design Space on their computer, doing stuff, saving it to their account and then opening it on their account on their phone and then cutting that way, so I guess it would work, but I just don't know. That seems like a lot of effort for something that is supposed to be very easy.

You can cut from Design Space on your computer. What if your computer doesn't have bluetooth? Is there a cord?

You can cut from Design Space on your computer. What if your computer doesn't have bluetooth? Is there a cord? I don't know. I've never checked it out. My laptop has bluetooth. I can't remember if I've ever used it with my desktop. I'm not sure if my desktop has bluetooth. I usually use the desktop with the larger cutters I have.

You can cut from Design Space on your computer. What if your computer doesn't have bluetooth? Is there a cord? No there is no cord to connect your computer to the Joy. The Joy is Bluetooth only. You will need to get a compatible USB Bluetooth adapter/dongle to plug into your computer. (Years ago I had a laptop with no Bluetooth. I bought an inexpensive Bluetooth dongle from Best Buy. This allowed me to upgrade to a blue tooth wireless mouse instead the original wired mouse. I never had any problems with connectivity.)

I don't own a Cricut Joy (or any electronic diecutting machine) &, therefore, cannot offer an informed sales pitch...only enabing! For anyone still interested in purchasing the Cricut Joy, I noticed it is on sale for $99 this week at big box craft retailers (JoAnn, Michael's, Hobby Lobby), Target, etc. HTH.
