I got my kits yesterday so I thought I'd do a little review. I love this kit club.
Game Night- I really like the paper, especially the cameras. This is going to make pretty layouts. I already had the die cuts and Thickers but I've used them on several layouts already and love them so I'm glad to get more. I also really like the stencil- you know I have a stencil problem. I'm not sure if the papers necessarily go with the embellishments but the sample layout is very nice. I like this kit because it has enough stuff in it to make multiple layouts.
Hit the Road- I do like Steven Duncan. I like the papers. I'm not sure that I can use the US map but I like the concept and the back has a Route 66 pattern that looks usable. The 3x4 card paper is really pretty. And yay! Another stencil. This one will be fun to use. I'm not excited about the stamps- we got to pick which stamps, which I liked but none of the three choices excited me. Unfortunately, they forgot to put the sticker sheet in but I emailed them and they said they'll put it in the mail immediately, so yay!
Midsummer Dreams- Oh my gosh, this one is a winner. The papers are so, so pretty. The chipboard pieces are nice. I love NTFB's fabric patches- the lemon is really cute. Now the best part- this kit comes with an insane amount of die cuts and titles, most of them super, super usable. I am going to make a ton of layouts with this kit. I also bought the a la carte sequin mix to go with it- it has tiny lemon slices. So cute.
Celebrate, Sparkle, and Shine- (Yay for the Oxford comma- good choice.) I am not feeling patriotic at all this year due to current politics so I got this with the idea that I can use it on boy layouts. I like the paper. I think the Thicker alphabet is a really nice, flexible choice. As always, I love the fabric embellishments- this time stars. It also comes with a beautiful sequin mix that has stars and little tiny flags in it. I can definitely use all of these items on my boy layouts. The only thing that I wasn't thrilled about is the diecut package because it is all July 4th and I'm not planning on using the kit for this. But it is a July 4th kit so that is a me problem.
Craftymom101 posted a layout with this kit on the Quarter Three thread and it is super pretty. I always love what she does with the kits.
I, of course, also bought some a la carte items, too. Not Just For Boys took a ton of my money this month. I can't wait to use these kits.
If you haven't bought a kit from them, definitely try it. They come with sample layout instructions but usually the stuff in the kit is very flexible and I always go off script. Let's keep the few kit clubs left in business.
