I have 35-40 border punches and currently have them stored in a revolving metal floor stand. They are somewhat difficult to see, esp if I’m looking for a certain one. Does anyone have a storage idea so that they are organized and more visible? Thanks!

i've seen people use thin towel or curtain rods screwed into a wall. the punches would hook/sit on top of the bar.

I can tell you what NOT to use: a rotating shoe tree. I put some circular needlepoint canvas to create a floor and stored my punches there. I added clips for my embellishments around the outer lower ring of each level of the shoe tree, and clipped the embellshiments there. It works well for the embellishments, and I love that I can rotate the different levels, but the punches were too heavy.. Because of them, it was in danger of toppling over my rotating embellishment tree.

My relatively small inventory of (EK Success & Fiskars) border punches are stored together & easily accessible in the wide, shallow, lower drawer of my project table. Other storage options include a large serving tray with handles or a freestanding shoe rack displayed on a desktop, counter, or shelf; picture ledges, pegboard, kitchen rails, or curtain rods attached to a wall; an over-the-door shoe organizer with clear pockets; etc. HTH

The fist thee steps of organizing are: 1. Purge 2. Purge 3. Purge
Do you still need, want, or are inspired by all of the punches? Are you keeping any just because you spent a lot of money, you feel guilty, or that give you bad/negative emotions when you see it? Are there ones that don't fit with they way you craft now? Purging can be hard at first but there is a lightness and freedom that comes with have less and just the things that really work for you.
I have mine in wooden trays that fit in my wide Alex drawers. I have shapes in one drawer and boarders in another. They also share the drawer with a few other things (like rulers). I don't have very many so the drawers aren't too heavy. I know some have had issues with the bottom of the drawers falling out due to the weight.

A hang over the door shoe bag. This is what I used when I had a bunch. Now they all store in a shallow drawer. I just didn’t use them enough to to justify keeping them.

A hang over the door shoe bag. This is what I use... it hangs inside the back wall of my closet.. I have all my punches (boarders and shapes.. all) in a comp book so I can flip thru to see if there is a particular 1 that catches my eye... and then I go and scan my wall to find the 1 I want... it is also how I have dies stored...

Keep the punches! So worth the investment. I keep mine (well, most of them) on floating shelves. Other punches I keep on CD holders. When they are out and easy to see, you use them. MS EK Storage by Nancy Tim, on Flickr
