And is it even possible?
Between sounding bitchy on my opening post and also reading the thread about go ogling our Pea names, I feel like I want to delete the thread I started.
I learned a lesson and agree I sounded bad when asking the question about homeschooling. Poorly worded and put some fine folks on the defensive.
Now I want to delete the thread in case it would cause hurt feelings in the off chance my SIL would come across it.
Mostly do not want to hurt her feelings and partly because I am embarrassed and want to cover my butt.
What say you? Live with it or try and delete?

You could try editing the OP to add an update saying you didn't mean to sound judgmental and further explaining your concerns. (I didn't think you sounded so judgmental, btw. But I'm not a homeschooler, either.)

I think you can delete your post, but not the thread, so if you've been quoted, your words are there for all to see.
You may ask the administrator to delete if you are concerned about privacy.

Just went over to the administration board and see that this may not qualify for deletion.

On the pea scale of 1-10 for dramatic offensive posts yours is a 0.
There's no reason you need to worry about deleting it.
And yes, peas do tend to think it is bad form to delete the OP.

I did not post on your original thread but I don't think there would be anything wrong with you deleting anything you want. I think your concern about your SIL finding it and being hurt is a very good reason for doing that. Some may not like it, but it's the peas! Someone is going to have something bad to say about almost anything.

I didn't read all of that thread, but in the parts I read you cleared up what your concerns were and were considerate of others... Like a pp said, you could edit your original post to clarify anything you wanted to... It wouldn't keep her from finding it, but it might help a bit...
FWIW, I have lots of questions I'd love to ask but don't... Not because I'm embarrassed or shy, but because I don't think I could explain myself well enough not to offend... I feel you on this...

Deleting your thread will cause FAR more drama than letting it die a natural death.... However, add ***CLOSED*** to the thread title to let people know you are done with people posting and bumping it to the top. <<snicker>>

I didn't think your thread was that bad and thought the peas who were scolding you for being judgmental were being....well, pretty judgmental actually but that's just my judgement

I'm of the opinion that they're your words and you can remove what you want, however, your post will likely have been quoted a few times so it's gonna be there. I like Lucy's idea of updating your post to reflect or add additional info, or clarify your position.

Yes, it is bad form to delete. We, Peas, we remember for the rest of our Plives. You will forever be known as "that" P that deleted. Just say what you want to say on the thread, and move on.
